The 3-day wait was promised to voters as a safeguard during the campaign to repeal the 8th.

We are told abortion isn’t a decision that is made lightly. So why do a majority of TDs support a Sinn Féin bill to SCRAP the 3-day wait – even though Ireland’s abortion rates have soared, with 65,000 abortions since 2019.

We know from the Department of Health that more than 10,000 women so far did not return for an abortion after the 3-day wait.

Isn't it always better to have fewer abortions?
