70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Ireland in 2027 Logo Contest
2027年日・アイルランド外交関係樹立70周年記念ロゴマーク募集（和文は下記をご覧ください） #日アイルランド70周年 #日本航空　
　The year 2027 will mark the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Ireland. A series of events is being planned to commemorate this milestone, as well as to deepen the existing positive relationship between the two countries. We are inviting submissions from the public for a design contest to create a logo to represent the commemorative events. The details of this contest are as follows:

1. Application Details
Design a logo to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Ireland (expressing appreciation for 70 years of friendly relations, and symbolising the opportunity marked by the commemorative year for the further expansion of the friendship between the two countries).

2. Submission Guidelines
(1) Eligibility requirements:
The contest is open to all.
(2) Submission deadline:
Tuesday, 30 June 2026
(3) Selection method:
The submitted logo designs will be evaluated by the Steering Committee for Events Commemorating the 70th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between Japan and Ireland, and one final design will be selected.
(4) Announcement of results:
The results will be announced on the websites of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, the Department of Foreign Affairs & Trade of Ireland, and the Embassies in both countries.
(5) Prize:
The London Office of Japan Airlines (JAL) will award the creator of the winning design an economy class return air ticket between Europe (Helsinki, Paris, London, or Frankfurt) and Japan (Tokyo). Japan Airlines operates direct flights to Japan from Helsinki, Paris, London, and Frankfurt. Passengers travelling from Dublin may connect to one of these cities before continuing to Haneda or Narita airport.
The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade in Ireland will fund an economy class return air ticket between Dublin and the relevant European city listed above.

Note: Airport taxes and additional charges are the responsibility of the passenger.

3. Submission Method
(1) Design must be submitted digitally and must satisfy the following: (1) no larger than 2MB, (2) minimum resolution of 300 dpi, (3) in JPEG or PDF format, and (4) the whole logo must fit within ahorizontal A4 size format.
Note: The submitted design may be requested to be converted to another format.
(2) A brief explanation of the design (no more than 100 words) must be included in the application form.
Note: The explanation of the winning design will be published.
(3) Entries should be submitted in both colour (no limitation on colour and gradation) and black and white versions.
(4) The original data must be submitted together with the application form.
(5) There is no limit to the number of submissions.
(6) All logo designs and related documents submitted will not be returned to the entrant.

5. Important Notes
(1) The submitted logo design must be an original design created specifically for thisanniversary, must be unpublished both in Japan and abroad, and must not violate copyrights, trademark rights, or infringe upon other rights of any third parties.
(2) In the event that any works are found to infringe the provisions of public order and standards of decency stipulated in the laws and regulations, contain defamatory contents, infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party, and so forth, the entry shall be rejected even after it is selected as the winning design.
(3) All copyrights pertaining to submitted designs will belong to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan and the Department of Foreign Affairs & Trade of Ireland. A selected design will be considered the exclusive property of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan and the Department of Foreign Affairs & Trade of Ireland, and all rights pertaining to the selected design shall belong to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan and the Department of Foreign Affairs & Trade of Ireland. The entrant of the selected design shall not exercise moral rights of an author. As a general rule, no alterations will be carried out to the design other than size adjustment, monochrome conversion and language translation.
(4) Any falsifications made in the entry will render it null and void even after the submitted design is selected as the winning design.
(5) Authorised usage of the completed design shall be given by the Steering Committee for Events Commemorating the 70th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between Japan and Ireland.
(6) Personal information of the entrants will not be disclosed to any third party with the exception of name and organisation.
(7) We will not send you an acknowledgement of receipt or notification to the unsuccessful entries. Moreover, we will not respond to any enquiries on the selection process.
(8) The use of generative AI is completely forbidden. If any submitted design is found to have been made using AI tools, it will be disqualified even after the submitted design is selected as the winning design.

　日本とアイルランドは、2027年に外交関係樹立70周年を迎えます。両国は、この記念の年に各種交流事業を実施し、両国間の関係を更に発展させる契機としたいと考えており、これらの記念行事に使用するロゴマークを広く募集します。募集要項などは以下のとおりです。
1　募集内容
　日・アイルランド外交関係樹立70周年記念ロゴマーク（70年間の友好関係に感謝し、今後、両国間の良好な関係を更に発展させる契機となる記念の年を象徴するもの）
2　募集要領
（1）応募資格：
　年齢・国籍を問わず、どなたでも応募いただけます。

（5）賞品：
　最優秀デザインに選ばれた方には、日本航空（JAL）ロンドン支店様から、エコノミークラス往復航空券1名分(欧州（ヘルシンキ、パリ、ロンドン、フランクフルトのいずれか）－東京間)が贈られます。日本航空はヘルシンキ、パリ、ロンドン、フランクフルトから日本へ直行便を運航中です。また、アイルランド外務・貿易省が、ダブリンと上記欧州都市のいずれかとの間のエコノミークラス往復航空券を提供します。

3　応募方法
（1）デザイン案は電子データで、（ア）1デザイン案2MB以内、（イ）解像度300Dpi以上、（ウ）ファイル形式（JPEG、PDF）で、印刷した場合A4サイズに収まるものとします。
　（注）応募いただいたデザイン案のフォーマット変更をお願いする場合があります。
（2）デザイン案の趣旨に関する説明などは100字程度で応募用紙に記入してください。
（注）説明内容については、最優秀デザイン案発表の際に公開させていただきます。

5　留意事項
（1）応募デザイン案は、日・アイルランド外交関係樹立70周年記念のためだけに制作されたオリジナルのもので、国内外で未発表のものであること、また、著作権や商標権その他の第三者の権利を侵害するおそれがないものとしてください。
（2）公序良俗その他法令の規定に反するもの、誹謗中傷を含むもの、著作権や第三者の権利を侵害しているものは、審査の対象外となります。また、採用後であっても、これらの条件に違反していることが判明した場合、採用は無効となります。
（3）応募されたデザイン案に係るその他諸権利は全て日本外務省及びアイルランド外務・貿易省に帰属するものとします。採用されたロゴマークの著作権に関する全ての権利は日本外務省及びアイルランド外務・貿易省に帰属するものとします。応募者は採用されたデザイン案に関して、著作者人格権を行使しないものとします。作品の加工は、原則としてサイズの調整、白黒バージョンへの変換、日本語の英訳、英語の日本語訳以外は行わないものとします。
（4）応募用紙の記載に虚偽が判明した場合は、決定後であっても採用を取り消す場合があります。
（5）採用デザインの完成版は、両国の運営委員会が認可した対象者に配布され、日・アイルランド外交関係樹立70周年記念事業のために利用されます。
（6）応募者の個人情報（ただし、氏名、所属を除く）を応募者に許可無く第三者に開示・提供しません。

Our collaboration with the Embassy of Japan has been long, deep and impactful. As a result of our collaboration Ireland has the highest number of students per capita in Europe participating in Japanese language learning. Teachers like Ursula Zimmermann have championed the way. PPLI looks forward to continuing to work closely with H.E, Ambassador Miyagawa in order to continue the provision.

Exchanges between Japan and Ireland in education　日本とアイルランドの教育分野の交流（和文は下記をご覧ください。）
　On 1 May, at the residence of the Japanese Ambassador, Ambassador MIYAGAWA Manabu and Ms NAKATA Keiko, First Secretary at the Embassy of Japan in Ireland, held an exchange of views with Ms Karen Ruddock, Director of Post Primary Language Ireland, Ms Ursula Zimmermann, first Leaving Certificate Japanese language teacher in Ireland, and Ms Avalon Kennedy Astles of the International Cooperation Unit at the Department of Education and Youth.
　They talked about the history, current context, and future opportunities for Japanese-language education in Ireland, experiences of participating in the JET Programme, and international people-to-people exchanges involving Ireland, the EU, and the United Kingdom among other topics.
　The Embassy of Japan in Ireland will continue its efforts step by step to further deepen exchanges between Ireland and Japan in education. Thank you for the opportunity to exchange views!

日本とアイルランドの教育分野の交流
　5月1日、日本大使公邸において、宮川学大使及び中田啓子在アイルランド日本国大使館一等書記官は、カレン・ラドック・ポスト・プライマリー・ランゲージズ・アイルランド（PPLI）所長、ウルスラ・ジマーマン・アイルランド初・高校卒業資格試験日本語科目担当教員、アバロン・ケネディー・アストルズ 教育・青年省国際担当とアイルランドでの日本語教育の歴史と展望、JETプログラムに参加した経験、アイルランドのＥＵや英国との国際人物交流などについて意見交換しました。
　在アイルランド日本国大使館は、意見交換の機会に感謝し、これからも日アイルランドの教育分野の交流が進むよう一歩一歩努力していく考えです。
