Celebrating 30 years of dedication! Huge congratulations to Fergus Weldrick and Liam O’Reilly on reaching this incredible milestone with Jones Engineering.

Fergus joined the company in 1996, starting out in commissioning and developing his experience on early projects such as Tallaght Hospital. He went on to become Office Contract Manager before transitioning to Mechanical Estimating in 2019, a role he holds today. Throughout his career, Fergus has worked exclusively within HAON, with the HP Leixlip project standing out as the largest and most significant he’s been part of.

Liam joined the company back in 1997, and since then has worked on some of Ireland’s most significant projects including the Mater Hospital, the Microsoft Data Centre, and Leinster House, and today serves as a mobile technician.

After three decades of hard work, commitment, and expertise, we’d like to thank you both for everything you bring to the team. Here’s to many more years ahead!

As a sponsor of DCU Solar Racing, Jones Engineering is delighted to congratulate the team on completing their first international race at the iLumen European Solar Challenge in Belgium, the world’s only 24-hour endurance race for solar-powered vehicles.

The student-led team made history as Ireland’s first entrant in the competition, after four years of designing and building the country’s first solar-powered racing car. Competing against leading university teams from around the world, the team completed 159 laps of Circuit Zolder, covering approximately 639km during the challenging 24-hour event, and finished 15th.

Supporting initiatives such as DCU Solar Racing reflects Jones Engineering's commitment to innovation, sustainability, and developing future engineering talent. We congratulate the team on this outstanding achievement and look forward to following their continued success on the international solar racing stage.

Some of our team took part in the ALG5K, with several colleagues crossing the finish line in under 20 minutes.

Events like this are a great opportunity to step away from the office, connect with colleagues and industry peers in a different setting, and take on a new challenge together.

Beyond the impressive results, it's the team spirit on display that make these occasions so worthwhile.

Congratulations to everyone who took part!

Our hands are one of our most valuable tools and protecting them is essential.

At Jones Engineering, we believe safety comes first and hand safety is a key part to ensuring our teams are safe every day at work. This month, our team in the Middle East charged a Hand Safety Awareness Campaign on a major Data Centre Project in Saudi Arabia. As the project has just started MEP installation, the team were keen to shine a spotlight on Hand Safety at work and educate our teams on the simple habits they can implement every day to help prevent injuries.

A massive thank you to all involved on organising such a powerful campaign and reminding our teams just how important Hand Safety is on site.
