Obasanjo appeared on the latest episode of the satirical interview show, which aired on Saturday, September 19, with the former president taking part in the comedian’s characteristically playful line of questioning.

During the conversation, Isbae U tested Obasanjo’s knowledge of some popular figures in Nigeria’s entertainment industry. The comedian asked the former president if he knew skit maker Carter Efe, dancer Poco Lee and music executive Don Jazzy.

Obasanjo responded that he did not know Carter Efe or Poco Lee. When asked about Don Jazzy, he also appeared surprised by the question.

The exchange became humorous when Obasanjo suggested that the entertainers might know him even though he was unfamiliar with them. He jokingly remarked that perhaps the people Isbae U knows are people he does not know.

The appearance has attracted attention online because of the unusual pairing, with the former Nigerian leader becoming the latest prominent personality to feature on Isbae U’s increasingly popular podcast.

“Curiosity Made Me Ask,” hosted by Isbae U, whose real name is Ridwan Abidemi Adebayo, is known for its satirical and often provocative interviews with celebrities, politicians, athletes and other public figures.
