We’re so grateful to see Zak Emerson receive the well-deserved recognition of a Silver ICAD for Best Direction for his beautiful work for RSA, made alongside our talented and trusting collaborators Forsman & Bodenfors Dublin ❤️
Every once in a while, a script comes in that feels not only already brilliant on paper, but deeply important to make. We’re so grateful you let us make this one.
A poignant project like this could not have been made with such honesty and care without the deep candour, sensitivity and excellence of a director like Zak.
We’re incredibly grateful to everyone at ICAD for the honour of a Silver ICAD, and to everyone who helped bring this film to life.

We had the opportunity to catch up with sensational director and friend of Butter — Check out this spotlight to find out a bit more about he’s about and what he has been up to!
Daniel’s work mixes striking visuals with seamless technical virtuosity, effortlessly weaving live action and photo-real 3D elements. Daniel has long played with artful experimentation in many forms, from book design to illustration; his evolution into film-making was a natural progression. In his journey as a director his work has retained that focus on craft and meticulous attention to detail.
Daniel’s work is known for its movement. One motion leading into the next, one image striking another like a string of dominoes – he creates poetic and choreographed films where every shot and every move has a distinct reason for being.
As a director, Daniel is very engaged in every detail – from the start all the way through the edit and finish. He prefers to stay involved in every aspect of pre and post production, and stays passionate through it all, from initial briefing call to shoot to final approvals and delivery.
Daniel is a Uruguayan Swede, based in Stockholm, working all over the world. And surfing when he has time.

Touching, heartfelt performances in this lovely new work from Butter director for Postcode Lottery.
Built around the real stories of winners, the campaign captures something we don’t always get to see — the journey before, during and after the big moment. Jake’s documentary sensibility brings a natural warmth and authenticity to the films, letting the people and their reactions speak for themselves.
A beautiful example of Jake’s ability to find genuine human moments and turn them into compelling stories. ❤️

We’re delighted to see Butter director Thomas Beug featured in both LBB and The Evening Echo for his acclaimed short films, which were screened at the Kinsale Arts Weekend.
The articles explore Thomas’ journey from documentary filmmaking to international commercial work, alongside his latest short film, A Small Fortress — a deeply personal story that reflects his thoughtful, human approach to filmmaking.
Thomas has a remarkable ability to tell stories with honesty, sensitivity and emotional depth, whether he’s working with documentary subjects or directing scripted performances.
We’re proud to share this moving new series of films from Butter director for Edwards Lifesciences.
The campaign follows people whose lives have been transformed following TAVR treatment, capturing the moments, relationships and experiences that become possible when health is restored. Told with Thomas’ trademark sensitivity and authenticity, these stories feel deeply human, never losing sight of the real people at their heart.
Thomas’ documentary background gives him a rare ability to build trust with contributors and uncover moments that feel honest, intimate and profoundly affecting.
Beautiful work with a powerful message.
