From There to Here. The story of Faith.

The moment I saw Niall rescue Faith, I knew.

Beneath the matted fur, the infection, the years of cage confinement in Koh Samui—I saw my mother’s heart. I saw a fighter. I saw a gentle, kind spirit that refused to break.

From day one, I manifested her life with me. I imagined her sleeping in her own cosy bed. I imagined her eating beef and treats. I imagined her walking through Herbert Park with us. I imagined her becoming part of our family—healed, loved, and becoming the beautiful babe she was always meant to be.

I followed her recovery like an addict. Every update knowing that was getting closer to adoption.

Against all odds, the fabulous team at Happy Doggo saved her eye. She’s blind in one, but she’s healthy, strong, and thriving.

Then my best friend Melanie’s adopted Phoenix. And now they live down the road from each other. Faith and Phoenix who spent years locked in cages—get to see each in the freedom of life in Dublin.

When I was told Faith was coming home to me, I was over the moon with excitement. Melanie and I flew to Koh Samui together to bring them home. I’ve never felt more certain about anything in my life.

As we flew home, I looked down at Faith at my feet and felt so happy. All the manifesting, all the belief, all the commitment —it was real. It worked.

Faith reminds me every day how lucky and privileged I am. I love her to bits. My mum talks to me through her every day. She’s living her best life now—“Waggy Tail” we call her, because her tail never stops wagging. She jumps around for her walks, loves her sleep, and loves sitting next to mummy. Eating is her ultimate joy so is a pudgy little thing now, full of kindness, appreciation, and unconditional love.

They’re free. They’re loved. They’re home. And faith—the real kind—actually works.

From Koh Samui to Dublin, my girls Faith and Noodles arrived with a bang! Their huge personalities flourished with love and security. Our resident diva, Betsy, has (mostly) accepted them with grace—even tolerating Noodles’ playful bids for attention.

Since they arrived, I’ve felt a love that defies comparison. I’ve been entrusted with two rescues from horrendous conditions, and I’m immersed in my commitment to them as I have been to my Betsy for the last eleven years.

Betsy has never known suffering. It’s fascinating to witness how differently they approach cuddles, food, “mummy”—Betsy takes it in stride, while Faith and Noodles carry an urgency, an insecurity around those basics. Yet in general, they’ve settled with such abandon.

It’s not contradictory—it’s profound. Certain sufferings (food, sleep, a guardian) stay etched in your psyche. Healing happens, but the scar remains.

I see them grow every day in confidence and weight. 😜 They have filled my life with gratitude that they are part if my life, Betsy’s life and that of my family.

So much love for these three. 🐾✨
