DAVE RICHARDSON | ABS POWERLIFTING COACH

Dave Richardson is no stranger to the ABS platform, having won ABS PRO twice as well as the Clash of Champions.

As an athlete, Dave has experienced it all. He has won some of the biggest professional meets in the world, competing with both specialist bars and Power Bars, and holds the biggest Power Bar deadlift in history.

Before making the switch to the professional circuit, Dave was a successful IPF athlete, representing England at the Commonwealth Games and winning gold in all three lifts as well as the overall title.

To work with Dave Richardson, contact him directly or DM the page for more information.

13–16 | 45kg–145kg

started with us as a young teenager, travelling down to Dublin on Sundays and working with through our Academy.

Three years on, he’s added 100kg to his squat, while also developing a strong, technically sound squat in the process something we prioritise heavily as coaches at ABS when working with young, developing lifters like Craig.

That technical foundation puts Craig in a great position to continue building as he moves into adulthood.

We’re excited to see what the next few years bring and hope to see Craig pick up an Irish cap during his junior career.

CHAMPIONS DO EXTRA.

A motto we used at ABS HQ for over a decade to push athletes to reach their maximum potential.

Don’t skip the small things because they add up.

Do the extra needed to become a champion.

ABS won every Club Nationals for 6 consecutive years — 18 titles in a row — before we were voted out.

It wasn’t a magic program.

It was doing more than the minimum.

The extra accessories.
The better nutrition.
The recovery.
Going to bed early so you’re ready for the AM squat session.

None of these things seem like much on their own.

But add them together over months and years, and they become the difference.

If you want to be the best, you have to do extra.

Simple..

EVERY PREP DOESN’T HAVE TO BE AN ALL OUT WAR.

Win the battles and save a little bit in reserve for the next block. The sport is a marathon not a sprint.
