Shout out to the trainers as we extend a warm welcome to our newest Dublin Samaritans volunteers.

Over the last number of weeks, they have been taking part in training sessions designed to prepare them for the role of listening volunteer.

They have learned active listings skills and honed their ability to be open, non judgemental and empathetic.

Each new volunteer will be paired with an experienced mentor who will offer guidance, encouragement, and support during their first duties.

At Samaritans, no listener is ever on their own. There is always time and space to talk through difficult calls, ask questions, and support one another.

We’re so grateful to everyone who has chosen to give their time to help others feel heard.
