One of our clients — a mid-sized manufacturing company in the midlands — ran their first full screening programme with us last year.
The results surprised them:
↳ 4 employees flagged with previously undiagnosed hypertension
↳ 2 identified with early-stage type 2 diabetes risk
↳ 11 referred into musculoskeletal intervention pathways before injury
↳ Sickness absence down 18% in the following six months
None of these people felt "unwell." All of them were working full duties.
This is what health screening actually does. It doesn't catch sick people — it catches healthy people before they become sick.
We unpack how regular screening protects employee health and what a tailored programme looks like here

If your organisation hasn't run a screening programme in the last 24 months, you're almost certainly carrying hidden risk on your balance sheet. DM me to talk.
Why Regular Health Screenings Matter in the Workplace When employees are healthy, they feel better, perform better, and are more engaged at work. Healthy staff are not only more focused and motivated but also less likely to take time off due to illness. One of the most effective ways to support employee health is through regular workplace health screen...

A production manager recently asked me: "Stephen, why do we need health surveillance? Nobody's sick."
My answer: that's exactly the point.
Health surveillance isn't about treating illness — it's about spotting the early fingerprints of occupational exposure before they become chronic conditions. Hand-arm vibration. Respiratory sensitisers. Noise-induced hearing loss. Night-shift metabolic impact.
By the time symptoms appear, the damage is often irreversible — and the liability exposure is significant.
A properly designed surveillance programme catches drift early, protects your people, and gives you documented evidence of due diligence under the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act.

💚 Investing in the Health & Wellbeing of Our People
At Camphill Communities of Ireland, we are committed to supporting the health and wellbeing of our employees.
As part of this commitment, we have begun rolling out our CCOI Employee Health Surveillance Programme delivered by Precision Health across our communities and services, bringing professional health screening directly into the workplace.
Camphill Kyle in Kilkenny was among the first communities to take part, with Person in Charge, Declan Foley, pictured during his health screening.
The programme includes blood pressure monitoring, cholesterol and diabetes testing, ECG screening, and cardiovascular risk assessments, helping to identify potential health concerns early and supporting healthier outcomes for our employees.
This initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to creating a healthy, supportive workplace where our people feel valued and cared for.
Because when we invest in the wellbeing of our people, we strengthen our communities. 💚

It's the end of June. Why are we already talking about flu season?
Because the companies with the smoothest flu vaccination rollouts in September aren't lucky — they plan.
Here's the Precision Health planning timeline we share with clients:
🗓 June: Budget approval & site selection
🗓 July–August: Employee communications & sign-up
🗓 September–October: On-site vaccination clinics
🗓 November: Compliance reporting & uptake review
Companies that wait until August to plan typically see 30–40% uptake. Companies that plan consistently achieve 65–80% — and dramatically lower Q4 absenteeism.
We cover the full picture of how occupational health assessments (including flu programmes) build a healthier workforce here 👇 https://www.precisionhealth.ie/post/how-occupational-health-assessments-help-build-a-healthier-workforce
If flu vaccination is on your 2026/27 agenda, now is the time to pencil in dates. Reach out and we'll build a delivery plan around your headcount, sites and shift patterns.

Every €1 invested in workplace health screening returns €2.50–€4.00 through reduced absenteeism and presenteeism.
Yet most Irish SMEs still treat occupational health as a compliance tick-box rather than a performance lever.
At Precision Health, we structure screening around three outcomes:
↳ Early detection of musculoskeletal, cardiovascular and metabolic risk
↳ ISO 9001-aligned surveillance records your auditors will love
↳ Clear dashboards for HR — so you see trends, not just individual results
We broke the numbers down in detail here

If you're budgeting for 2026/27, now is the moment to move screening from cost centre to strategic asset.
