A very proud day for DRFC as we officially opened our new 3rds pitch, driveway, car park, walking track, pitch and security fencing and gates. 🏉💙

We were delighted to welcome Derry McKeown and his family, representatives from the IRFU, local politicians, club members, friends and supporters to celebrate this fantastic milestone with us.

On the day, we were also delighted to make a presentation to Down Syndrome Ireland from the proceeds of our recent bake sale. 💙

We’re looking forward to seeing these new facilities being used to their full potential over the years to come. We have no doubt they will be enjoyed by our members and the wider community alike.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this possible. This is a fantastic addition to DRFC and a great investment in the future of our club and our community.

A brilliant morning at Mill Road as our Minis helped officially open our third pitch! 🏉⚫⚪

Fantastic to see the club full of young players, coaches and families enjoying the new facilities. A huge thank you to all our coaches, players, parents and guardians who continue to make mornings like this possible.

We’d also like to acknowledge the support received through the Sports Capital Grant, which has helped make this development possible.

Tomorrow is a big day at the Mill Road as we welcome everyone to our Club Open Day, ahead of our first home league game of the season. ⚫⚪

We’re delighted to open the doors, welcome members, families, supporters and friends, and give everyone the chance to see the new and improved grounds.

Then it’s over to the rugby, as our Senior Men take to the pitch for their first home league game of the season.

Any individual found engaging in abusive or inappropriate behaviour will be subject to disciplinary action.

⚫⚪ 1XV LEAGUE DEBUTS

Our return to Leinster League Division 1A began away to Seapoint RFC last Saturday, with four of our young players making their 1XV league debuts for the club.

Congratulations to Joe Liscoe, Thomas Heeds, Alex Pepper and Kai Mahne, who were presented with their club ties by President Kenneth Dorian to mark the occasion. 👏

A proud milestone for all four, with plenty more to come in black and white!

👏 Man of the Match honours went to Laurence Steen after a strong performance on the day.

We regroup and look ahead to this Saturday, as Athy RFC visit Mill Road for our first home league game of the season.

Our Grounds Team have been working away quietly over the summer, with plenty of improvements made around the club 👏
