This October, Dundalk gets loud again.
Bold Frontiers returns this October taking over the town with three days of music, art, noise,
strange ideas and good old-fashioned frontier spirit. Forget the polished festival formula. Bold Frontiers is a cultural ramble through Dundalk’s
streets, back rooms, churches, bars and unlikely corners. Across a wild constellation of venues, artists and audiences come together for a weekend built around discovery, collaboration and the thrill of not quite knowing what’s coming next.

Venues include The Spirit Store, Mo Chara, Toales, Dundalk Gaol, St Nicholas Church and Wellington Hall, alongside new additions Russell’s Saloon and The Lily White Lounge.

And then there’s 'The Hacklers Wake'... a very special new pop-up bar joining the festival for 2026. More details on this particular den of trouble, music and mischief will be revealed soon, along with more venue, artist and programme announcements.

The festival gets underway with a soft launch on Thursday night with a special gallery launch at Creative Spark Downtown Hub, kicking open the doors on the weekend ahead.
Bold Frontiers is about crossing lines between music and art, performer and audience, venue and street, the expected and the downright unexpected.
It’s about taking over a town for a few days and seeing what happens when you let the other stuff in.
Dundalk has always known a thing or two about frontier energy and we are leaning in.
