Maths Tutorials

Math Tutorials are taught by an Engineering Post Graduate student that applies the practical applications of maths every day in his job and studies. (Algebra, Calculus, Statistics etc...) and will be two hours long. The first hour will consist of an overview of the subject, and cover principles and techniques, provide explanations of the practical applications/solving methods and go through worked examples. In the second hour, students will be given problem sheets containing questions covering all aspects of the subject. With the guidance of the tutor, students will then work in groups to find solutions to these problems. Full worked out and explained solutions to the problem sheet will be provided after the class. A tutorial is a more interactive way of learning and uses a step-by-step process that ensures the learner is following along and understanding the material.
