Another week another regatta, this week it was the turn of our youngest crop of rowers (and the odd master or two!) getting their first taste of racing competition down at the Bantry sprints. Well done to RĂona, Riley, Maeve, Emer, Alex, Conor, Jacob and Rory on their races yesterday. We fielded across the board from J13 to J18 and each rower put in their best effort on the day.
Riley and Kate representing Castletownbere powered home to take gold in their double and Alex and Conor put in a fine performance to take silver in their race.
A special mention must go to Jane and Patricia who took part in the masters double and sailed past the finish line with ease in their first event together on the flat water.
Well done to all our athletes who took part yesterday!
