A huge congratulations to our friends Fossa GAA Club on their fantastic Kerry Intermediate Championship win yesterday! A wonderful day for the parish!

Very well done to our men’s J14 and women’s J16 crews who took part in the Swift Racing Coastal Rowing Championships in Bantry today. Some absolutely fantastic rowing in perfect rowing conditions. Thanks to all at Bantry Rowing Club for a superb event. Very well done to our crews, coxes and coaches, we are super proud of you all.

Thanks also to our fantastic supporters who cheered on the crews. Finally, a huge happy birthday to our own Adam Murphy who celebrated with his clubmates today!

Best of luck to our two crews taking part in tomorrows Swift Racing Coastal Rowing Championships in Bantry. We have crews in the Men’s J14 C4X+ and Women’s J16 C4X+ races. Best of luck to all crews and coxes and safe travels to all rowers, supporters and club members.

Club Shop - New additions!

Very well done to our crews who took part in the Kenmare Rowing and Boat Club offshore regatta last Saturday. A fantastic day of rowing for the club and a huge well done to all crews who did fantastic, representing the club with pride. A huge thanks to Karen for the photos and the huge support who traveled to Kenmare.

We are delighted to announce that we are planning a club social to celebrate 133 years of Fossa Rowing Club.

The venue is Kate Kearneys and the social will take place on Saturday the 17th of October.

The evening will start with a drink reception at 6pm, followed by a 3 course meal.

Music will be provided by the O’Connors who will entertain us with fantastic Irish music as well as some Irish Dancers. Then we boogie the night away with our own Donncha Murphy - DJ Dunnerz spinning the tunes!

A huge well done to our own Cliona Sugrue who took part in a charity race for Skellig stars and Group 135 Kerry- the Rise and Shine trust. The event was organised by Caherciveen and Sive rowing clubs with 9 ladies crews/seine boats rowed - 108 ladies altogether! Sneem won with Valentia finishing 2nd and Cnuicín 3rd.

Cliona rowed with Glen/Ballinskelligs. She came wearing fossa singlet with pride but donned the green for the race. It was great to see some of our Underage group out supporting Cliona!

Very well done Cliona, we are super proud of you!
