Halloween is just around the corner 🎃
For some of our pets, the louder nights, unexpected bangs and flashes can be a stressful time. A little preparation now can go a long way in helping them feel safe and settled at home.
If your pet struggles around Halloween, get in touch with our team early and we can chat through how best to support them. 🐾

We’d love to introduce you to Bobby 🤍
Bobby came into LVH in a heartbreaking condition after suffering severe neglect. Our team spent the weekend treating him and giving him the care and love he desperately needed.
Thanks to Clare Animal Welfare, Bobby went on to be fostered before finding his forever family in Galway.
Bobby’s happy ending is a lovely reminder of why working alongside and supporting charities like Clare Animal Welfare means so much to us. 🐾
Throughout September, we teamed up with for a charity raffle in aid of and 🐾
We’re delighted to share that together we raised an incredible €1,610 for the two charities! ❤️
A huge thank you to everyone who entered, donated prizes and helped us support the amazing work both charities do.
And now for the exciting part… head to our stories to see our raffle winners! ✨

Little Missy had her first sleepover with us at just 6 weeks old 🥹🐾
After licking some Lemsip, which contains paracetamol and can be toxic to pets, Missy stayed with us for fluids and close monitoring.
Thankfully, she headed home with perfect bloods and spent her stay thoroughly enjoying all the fuss, cuddles and bribery our team had to offer! ❤️

Meet Shams Pegah Puttar 🦎💛
This little yellow leopard gecko was recently in with us at Limerick Veterinary Hospital for a general anaesthetic and tail amputation.
We’re delighted to say Shams was signed off today and is absolutely thriving after his procedure. A brilliant little patient from start to finish!

September is Animal Pain Awareness Month 🐾
Our pets can’t tell us when something hurts, and the signs of pain aren’t always obvious. Changes in their appetite, behaviour or movement can all be signs that something isn’t quite right.
Knowing what to look out for can help you spot pain sooner and get them the care they need.
If you’re concerned that your pet may be in pain, our team at Limerick Veterinary Hospital is here 24/7. 💙

We are delighted to introduce Reka, one of our Animal Care Assistants here at Limerick Veterinary Hospital 👋
From looking after our inpatients to working behind the scenes in the lab, she loves the variety that comes with every day.
Outside of work, you’ll find her gardening, writing poetry or playing board games, and if there’s a Vizsla nearby, she’ll definitely be saying hello! 🐾

8-week-old Molly paid us a late-night visit at Limerick Veterinary Hospital for some sore ears 🐾❤️
Being awake after midnight is tiring work when you’re this little, but Molly still found the energy to hang out with us in reception for a few minutes.
She did such a great job and definitely earned a good night’s sleep! 🥹
