It was a pleasure to host Limerick Chamber’s Energy on the Estuary Event today in Gardens International.
Following on from the Dublin event in April, the Limerick event today focused on how national energy policy translates into projects, enabling infrastructure, supply-chain capability, investment and long-term energy security.
Congratulations to the Limerick Chamber on a successful event.
A closer look beneath the scaffold wrap at the Flaxmill Building, Cleeves Riverside Quarter.
Wrapped in what is believed to be one of the largest fully enclosed scaffold structures of its kind outside Dublin, the three-storey Flaxmill Building is being protected from the elements while extensive conservation works take place. The enclosure includes a temporary roof covering, helping to keep the historic building dry while restoration works are carried out.
Inside the enclosure, specialist contractors are repairing historic masonry, including sections of brick and stone walls, restoring the building's original timber roof structure and stabilising key elements of the former mill.
These works are helping to secure the future of the former Flaxmill, preserving an important piece of Limerick's industrial heritage and a key part of the historic Cleeves factory complex for future generations.

Limerick Twenty Thirty (LTT) is delighted to welcome the further expansion of WHOOP at Gardens International, with the wearable technology company taking an additional floor at our landmark Henry Street development to support its continued growth.
Commenting on the expansion, LTT CEO Pat Nash said: “We’re delighted to see WHOOP expanding its presence at Gardens International so soon after establishing its Limerick operations here in 2024. This is a significant upsizing of their operation and a strong vote of confidence in Gardens International, in Limerick and in the city’s ability to provide the high-quality, sustainable working environment that ambitious international companies need as they grow,”.
LTT Chairman James Collins added, “Gardens International was developed to attract and support precisely the type of investment that WHOOP brings, while contributing to a vibrant city-centre business community. Limerick’s ability to attract and support companies of this calibre is underpinned by a strong third-level education and talent base, together with excellent international connectivity through Shannon Airport. The WHOOP expansion is another very positive milestone for the building, and we wish the team every success as it continues to grow its operations in Limerick.”
The majority of space within Gardens International is now occupied, with one out of five floors available for letting. The remaining vacant space comprises of the full first floor and a small amount of mixed-use ground floor space.

Great progress continues on the Opera Square Development.
Floor plates have reached Level 02 on the 14-storey landmark building, with a new floor targeted for every three weeks and topping out in March 2027.
On the Granary building, roof slating and stone repointing are well underway, alongside civil works for the new rear core.
It’s been a busy few months of progress across the site, with Limerick City and the River Shannon looking impressive in the background.
More to come.🏗️
