End of the road - Route 66 complete!πŸ‘

From Missouri and Kansas to Arizona, the Mojave Desert and finally Santa Monica Pier - our Lead Electrical Supervisor Eugene Lynes has completed his fifth Route 66 Motorcycle Challenge in aid of Children's Health Foundation!

And it certainly didn't let him off lightly at the finish!

The final stretch saw Eugene and his fellow Irish 66ers ride through thunder and lightning in the Mojave Desert, before temperatures climbed to around 40Β°C as they made their way into California - eventually reaching the end of Route 66 at Santa Monica Pier.

This year's trip marks the 12th Route 66 challenge for the Irish 66ers and Eugene's fifth time taking it on.

Since the first trip in 2002, the challenge has now raised in excess of €6 million for Children's Health - an extraordinary total built mile by mile by everyone who has taken part, fundraised, sponsored and supported the event over the years.

We're very proud to have supported Eugene once again - and apparently the EPS sponsored t-shirts attracted plenty of attention on their travels too!

Huge congratulations Eugene and all the Irish 66ers. A tough challenge, an incredible experience and most importantly, all in support of a very worthy cause. ❀️

(Now enjoy putting the feet up before you're back with us on the 12th! πŸ˜‰)

Where could a career with EPS take you? πŸ’§πŸ‘·β€β™€οΈπŸ‘¨β€πŸ’»

Today we're at Munster Technological University meeting students and graduates and talking about the many different ways to build a career with us.

When people think of a company working in the water and wastewater industry, engineering might naturally come to mind first - but it takes a huge variety of people, skills and disciplines to deliver the work we do.

From engineering, environmental science and project management to IT, HR, finance, operations and skilled trades, there are opportunities to find your own path - whether that's through our Graduate Development Programme, an internship or apprenticeship or joining us directly in a professional role.

And who better to tell you what working here is actually like than our own people?!

Michael Walsh, Joe Finn, Dawid Herdzik, Szandra Radonic and our Recruitment Manager Karen O' Brien are at Booth L14 today, ready to answer questions and talk about the opportunities available across our business.

So if you're at MTU Careers Fair today, come over and say hello - and maybe pick up a little merch while you're there! πŸ‘‹

You never know where the conversation might lead!

Excellent day of engagement and networking at the 2026 Irish District Energy Association (IrDEA) conference, fantastic announcements to get things going from Minister Darragh O'Brien TD on the allocation of capital funding and 9 projects receiving pre construction funding.

Gareth Wilson was in attendance on our behalf and caught up with our friends at HeatGrid Ireland, Codema, Fingal, Monaghan, Kildare & Louth County Council & AECOM who are receiving funding for these projects.

Great to hear from stakeholders across the sessions on the progress made this year.

Congratulations to IrDEA team for another successful event - we're looking forward to supporting this developing market sector in Ireland.

5th in the world - always a winner in our eyes! πŸŒπŸ‘

What an experience for our Sales Graduate Leon Doody, who has wrapped up an incredible week representing WorldSkills Ireland in Shanghai, finishing 5th in the Retail Sales competition.

And he was certainly put through his paces!

Leon was tasked with establishing and running his own retail store selling baby clothes - putting everything he has learned throughout his Sales Apprenticeship into practice while competing alongside some of the very best young talent from around the world.

Leon felt things were going well throughout the competition and while the final result may not have been the one he was hoping for, fifth on the world stage is something to be incredibly proud of.

More than anything, we're proud that Leon challenged himself to get there in the first place. From taking on his Sales Apprenticeship, to competing at WorldSkills Ireland and ultimately travelling all the way to Shanghai, he has embraced every opportunity that's come his way - and had a fantastic experience while doing it.

And he had quite the support team behind him! ❀️

Alongside the support of EPS and Tipperary ETB, Leon's mum, sister and girlfriend made the journey to Shanghai to cheer him on - making an already memorable experience even more special.

Leon, you've done yourself and everyone proud - enjoy the celebrations and the wonderful memories and friendships you made!

We're really covering the miles this week!

Opportunities to attend customer breakfast mornings are a great way to connect with the end users of our products, answer any questions they may have as well as strengthen our relationship with loyal stockists such as Clonmel Plumbing Supplies Ltd.

This morning, that's where you'll find Mike O'Shea from our Product Sales team - ably assisted by Sean and Brian from Clonmel Plumbing.

Three branches, three training sessions and plenty of product knowledge shared along the way! πŸ’§

This week, we welcomed Valentina Petruzzelli and Celso Ferreira from Zenit Group for a series of product training sessions with colleagues from across our branches.

Starting in Naas on Tuesday, the team travelled to Ballyhaunis on Wednesday before wrapping things up in Mallow - the training tour giving colleagues the opportunity to get hands-on with the latest developments across the Zenit portfolio.

Building on similar training held two years ago, Valentina and Celso brought everyone up to speed on the Uniqa professional pump range and Grey Series, with a particular focus on the newly developed CTG chopper pump.

Valentina also introduced colleagues to Zenit's submersible mixer and Jet Oxy range of submersible aerators.

It was also a great opportunity to welcome Celso as our new dedicated Zenit Account Manager, strengthening a product partnership that has supported our teams and customers for many years.

Keeping our product knowledge current is an important part of ensuring our teams can have the right conversations with customers - understanding the application first and then identifying the right solution for the job.

Thanks to Valentina and Celso for making the trip, to our Group Pump Specialist David Jamshidi for organising and to everyone who joined the sessions across the three locations. πŸ‘

No matter where you are, chances are Team EPS isn't too far away! πŸ‘‹πŸ’§

We're out and about today with two of our teams showcasing very different sides of life at EPS.

πŸŽ“ At the University of Limerick Autumn Careers Fair, colleagues from our Recruitment, Commercial and Engineering teams are meeting students and graduates, talking about the many different career paths available across EPS and what it's like to build a career in the water and wastewater industry.

Louise O'Donnell from our Commercial Team, Recruitment Manager Karen O'Brien, Project Engineer Mary Ita Murphy and Graduate Mechanical Engineer Diawoye Niakate are on hand to answer any questions and give their first hand experience working at EPS.

πŸ’§ Meanwhile in MSD, Brinny, Mike O'Shea and John O'Brien from our Product Sales team are taking part in Sustainability Week, where on-site vendors were invited to showcase domestic water treatment and water harvesting solutions to the workforce.

Alongside conversations about water and wastewater solutions for the home and workplace, the team brought along a selection from our extensive water treatment range - including our new countertop water coolers, the ever-growing APLOS reverse osmosis range and products from Atlas Filtri.

Two counties, two very different conversations, but one Team EPS!

Whether we're talking about the people who will help shape the future of our industry or practical solutions for using and managing water more sustainably, it's all part of what we do every day.

If you're in UL or MSD Brinny today, come and say hello! πŸ‘‹

Route 66 is calling once again for our Lead Electrical Supervisor, Eugene Lynes!🏍️

This week, Eugene swaps electrical projects for the open road as he sets off on his fifth Route 66 Motorcycle Challenge, raising funds for Children's Health Foundation.

What began back in 2016 as an opportunity to tick an iconic journey off the bucket list has become a long-standing fundraising commitment for Eugene.

Before each trip, participants visit the hospital and see first-hand how the money they've raised has been used - meeting some of the children and families who have benefited along the way. It's an experience Eugene says has kept him coming back.

And Route 66 isn't exactly the easy option! Long days on the bike, early starts, intense heat and thousands of miles lie ahead as Eugene and 65 fellow fundraisers make their way across America.

Eugene's fundraising efforts don't stop when he gets home either. For the past decade, he has also organised an annual Carrauntoohil climb in support of the charity - so we're very proud to once again get behind one of our own as he takes on his latest challenge.

Contracts Director John Lynch literally showed his support for Eugene & co. as he headed off Stateside - complete with the all-important EPS sponsored Route 66 gear!

Safe travels, Eugene. Enjoy every mile!

There couldn't be a better time to introduce the latest member of our Our People series - Sales Graduate, Leon Doody!

As we post, Leon is landing in China, where he will represent Ireland at WorldSkills Shanghai 2026 from Monday, as he competes in the Retail Sales category alongside some of the world's most talented young people.

Before the competition gets underway, we caught up with Leon to hear a little about his role at EPS, his journey from assembly & production into sales at our Product Sales & Distribution Centre in Mallow and what lies ahead in Shanghai.

Leon's normally a man of few words but his journey over the last few years speaks for itself.

Best of luck, Leon - we're looking forward to the updates from Shanghai next week! πŸ‘

As one class graduates, another is entering Year 2, while a competely new cohort are starting their journey.

Earlier this year, we marked an important milestone as the first participants in our two-year Graduate Development Programme - the Class of 2026 - celebrated their graduation.

As this short video captures, it was a day to recognise how far they had come - but also what we set out to achieve when the programme was first established: combining structured learning with real experience of our people, projects and business.

Now, we're getting ready to do it all over again!

This week, our current graduates begin Year 2 with an introduction to Pumps & Pumping Systems, before our newest group starts Year 1 next week.

Over the months to come, they'll learn about everything from HSQE, pumps, Service & Repairs and Product Stores to digital engineering, BIM, finance, commercial and contract management, electrical systems, quality assurance and professional engineering - alongside site visits and opportunities to learn directly from colleagues across EPS.

With Leadership and People among the key enablers of our Strategic Plan 2030, programmes like this are an important part of how we continue to invest in our people and build capability from within.

To our returning graduates - welcome to Year 2. And to our newest group, we look forward to welcoming you to EPS Academy and getting your journey underway. πŸ‘
