Sarah Heffernan Design

At present, she is completing a six month internship with Belgian artist, Inge Panneels, Director of Idagos Contemporary Glass and Senior Lecturer at the University of Sunderland. Sarah graduated from the National College of Art & Design, Dublin in 2011 and has a Bachelors of Design in Craft design. During the course of her studies, Sarah had the opportunity to work with, and learn from many glass artists, both inside and outside NCAD. She was also fortunate enough to spend a semester at Rochester Institute of Technology in New York State under the guidance of Robin Cass and Michael Rogers. Sarah began working with Inge through the Leonardo da Vinci mobility placement programme which awardss students and graduates the opportunity to work with professional artists as part of a three month internship. On completion of her three months, Sarah was asked by Inge to stay on for a further three months. Sarah is currently contemplating opening her own studio upon her return to Ireland in April 2012.
