A rough day at sea today for Pat Joyce and the crew from straide, foxford and ballyvary.
Although the sun shone, the sea was challenging, and we managed a few fish over the gunwale, including, Mackerel, ling, Cuckoo Wrasse, poor cod, and the ever infamous Timmy Dooley Po***ck.

A lovely calm evening here in the port of Newport after a blustery day on the water for the last of the Newport Sea Angling Club competitions of 2026.
Some good fishing done out there today by all competitors, and Daithi Nevin topped it off with this female skate coming in at 168lbs.

Well done to all anglers, and thanks to all at the NSAC for their dedication to help promote sea angling for everyone 👏

The kilconly lads jumped on board Mo Chara this morning and we hit for the waters off achill and Clareisland.
Initially a slow start, but then the fish came.
Some nice fish boated today, including Mackerel, Poutting, Cuckoo Wrasse, Ballan Wrasse, poor cod, ling, Garfish, Red gurnard, a specimen Tub gurnard, and the ever popular Timmy Dooley Po***ck.

Another fantastic day on the water with Paul and his crew.
A wet start heading across the bay towards Clareisland, but that all changed as we headed west.
A nice few fish came over the gunwale including Mackerel, Poutting, Red Gurnard, Cuckoo Wrasse and of course the ever famous Timmy Dooley Po***ck.

A stop off on Clareisland for refreshments before heading back home to end the day.

We hit for Clareisland this morning where we boated Mackerel, Poutting, ling, Gurnard, Whitting, Cuckoo Wrasse, and the famous Timmy Dooley Po***ck.
Back in the bay to go on anchor for dogfish and thornback ray.

A warm day on the water today with Padraig and his crew.
Slow but steady, and a few different species came over the gunwale including Mackerel, Poutting, Cuckoo Wrasse, Poor cod, Whitting, Red gurnard, Grey gurnard, Scad, Tub gurnard, Red seabream, and the famous Timmy Dooley Po***ck
