Rossmore Forest, one of Monaghan's most well known locations is home to many native red squirrels. Be sure to keep an eye out for some when walking its many trails! 🥾🌲

It's always great to see to see one of the country's rarest species and an apparent ally to the red squirrel, the pine marten, lurking through our local woods. Hopefully more great footage like this to come real soon!

Today marks the beginning of Invasive Species Week. It is important, as a group, that we are all aware of the impact invasive predators could potentially have on the native species. For us and other similar groups, the biggest threat to reds are the grey squirrels.
