PVGEN

PVGEN were proud to be a part of the Meadhill Solar Farm project which has just commenced operation. The project was independently developed by farmer Sean Keating and installed by PVGEN in Meadstown, Kildorrery, Co Cork.
This is a historic moment in Irish solar as it is Ireland's first solar farm under the Government's Small-Scale Renewable Energy Support Scheme (SRESS).
PVGEN employees Danny O' Mahony, Muhammad Talha Siddiqui and Mark Kenny attended the opening ceremony along with Meadhill Solar Farm owner, Sean Keating, and Minister of State at the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine, Niall Collins. You can read more about the project in this article on our website: https://pvgeneration.ie/hub/meadhill-solar-farm/

Just a heads up for anyone who is not aware. PVGEN are partnered with Yuno Energy. They have increased their exclusive microgeneration rate by 8% to 31.32 cent per kWh, one of the best in Ireland.

This is an exclusive offer for PVGEN domestic customers who switch to Yuno Energy. If you produce enough excess solar to sell back to the grid then this is definitely worth switching for. So if your contract with your current provider is nearly up, take a look.

The microgeneration rate for farm and commercial customers is 17.16 cent per kWh, which is also really good.

Well done to the PVGEN Golf team, Mark Kenny (team captain), Ian Bennis, Luke Swayne and Joe Garvan, who won the 31st annual Blue Demons Golf Classic. This was extra impressive as there were 50 teams participating for the much-coveted top prize this year!

The Blue Demons Golf Classic took place at the prestigious Monkstown Golf Club on Thursday and Friday, June 18-19th. This was the 31st staging of the event that was inaugurated in 1995 and has been presented every June with the exception of 2020 due to Covid 19.
The Golf Classic is a crucial fundraiser for the Blue Demons Basketball Club and is now organised in memory of Peter Coughlan a great club stalwart of many years, as player, a coach, a club officer and latterly as one of the original managers of the Golf Classic until his passing in 2018.
