little bit of foraging today 🌿🫐
Some beautiful blackberries to turn into syrup and jam, and plums picked straight from my own garden. 💜
I’ll be back for the elderberries when they’re ripe!
I also gathered some pinecones along the way, ready to be used for our Christmas Around the Campfire family event this December. 🎄🌲
I love when the things we gather from nature now become part of something special later in the year.

My very own little birthday adventure in the forest 🌿🔥✨
A camp-out under the trees, the boys cooking over the fire, birthday cake, and games around the campfire that had us laughing so much. ❤️
Taking turns reading chapters from *Matilda* by Roald Dahl 📖🌙
We ended the night tucked into our hammocks,
a gorgeous night’s sleep, swinging gently beneath the trees.
No big plans, no fancy celebrations… just my man & boys and of course Rue, the forest, a warm fire, lots of laughter and a night we'll remember for a very long time. 🌳🍁❤️
I think forest birthdays might just be my new favourite kind of birthday. 🥰
🍂 A little something to look forward to at Running Wild…
