At TEG, we’re proud to recognise and celebrate the dedication, commitment, and hard work of our team members through our recent Loyalty Awards presentations.

It was great to be back at Coláiste Mhuire Mullingar yesterday, a school TEG has had a long-standing relationship with over the years.

There’s also a special connection between the two organisations, with TEG Managing Director John Hunt a former student of the school.

Today we say goodbye to Loic Limouzy, a French engineering student who joined us on the 29th of June for his internship here at TEG.

Over the past few months, Loic has been a great addition to the team, and we wish him all the best as he heads back to France to continue his studies.

As a send-off, Darren presented Loïc with a Westmeath GAA jersey - a little piece of local culture to take home with him!

TEG is proud to announce that we have achieved ISO 50001 certification for our Energy Management System.

This certification represents an important milestone in TEG's ongoing commitment to improving our energy performance, reducing our environmental impact and embedding sustainability into the way we operate.

Over the past year, we have taken a number of significant steps across our manufacturing sites, including:

- Installation of solar PV systems.
- Transition to electric heating systems.
- Purchasing electricity from certified renewable sources.
- Improved monitoring and measurement of our energy performance.
- Establishing a structured Energy Management System focused on continuous improvement.

Achieving certification has been a collaborative effort across the organisation, and we would like to thank everyone involved in reaching this milestone.

This month, our Director Tommy Kelly turned 60 and, to mark the occasion, Tommy has set himself the challenge of walking 60 miles in support of Epilepsy Ireland, a cause that holds personal significance for him and his family.

In Tommy's own words:

"Thanks for all the birthday wishes. To mark turning 60, I am walking 60 miles in support of Epilepsy Ireland. A family member has epilepsy, so it's close to our hearts. If you wish to donate a small amount, please find the link below. Thank you."
