It was the summer of 26, this nanny embraced her greys, discovered buzzballs, went to her first festival, slept in a tent (and moaned A LOT) βΊοΈ
In between the chaos, the bra business π and the numerous multicoloured drinksπΈ...there were quiet, wholesome moments π₯° empowering moments πͺbeach days π evening swims, pilates class π§ββοΈ ferocious hangovers π« and a million belly laughs π
Times spent with family and friends, and the most special days with my daughter and granddaughter - making the most of (her) maternity leave!
I'm not quite ready to say goodbye to the Summer yet - thank f**k there's a 5 star trip coming soon πβ¨οΈ
A little bit emotional this morning as we celebrate the 6th birthday of my little pink palace β¨οΈβ€οΈπ₯°
What an incredible few years, not without stress and sleepless nights. I do question myself regularly and since what the hell I was thinking when I opened a lingerie shop in a small seaside town in the middle of a global pandemic. π«π¬
I still suffer very much from imposter syndrome, but I honestly don't regret my decision at all. It's been a blast, I've made some incredible new friends, and I can honestly say, standing in a fitting room, with a woman who is crying tears of joy bacause she never thought she would ever feel this way in a bra is the biggest reward I could ever get π

1 year of this handsome lunatic! πΆ
He has cost me an absolute fortune in replacement shoes, remote controls and 1 retainer π«
He is a liability of the highest order, has zero sense of personal space, barks at every dog he meets (then cries when they bark back), he sometimes forgets that he is a dog and sits or stands like a human, he has dug 5 holes in my new garden, he stinks to the high heavens, robs any bit of food that you take your eyes off (even the bits that are nearly in your mouth), he gets threatened with the pound every week...but he is fricking adorable, the cutest, cuddliest little mischief maker, Bonnie bestie, and we love him dearly!

When you're drinking gin from a pint glass it's never going to end well π€£
From classy to chaos to your shoes on a table, to questioning every one of your life's choices... can't beat a day at the races π€£

Kinda chic to be friends for 3 decades! π₯°
My dear pal Karen Kennedy celebrated a big one last weekend, and it was a pleasure and a privilege to be by her side β€οΈ (and yes, this has been sitting in drafts since last Sunday...I was sick, OK!!!) π«ππ¬
My friend for far more years than we can count, from the last few years of school, to getting me through those tough early days as a teen mom, watching Friends and drinking tea (yes - we drank lots of tea) βοΈ
Together we navigated our teens, 20s, 30s, 40s and now *oh s**t* ... it's time to take on the next decade! π± We might have swapped heels for HRT, and we definitely have drank as much alcohol as we have tea over the years, we swapped the silk cuts for pilates, but nobody will accuse us of being sensible π
What a weekend we had - we danced til our feet hurt, cos this gal can work a playlist β€οΈπβ¨οΈ
Here's to many more years of messing - and we'll continue the celebrations next month (cos it's your big birthday for 365 days ya know!)πͺπΈπ₯πΎ

I don't know how delicate the balance between buzzballs in a field and Saturday morning pilates in Ares Pilates is... but I'm here for it π€£
Nothing like an Irish mammy to put you in your place! π€£π€£π€£ Anyone else experience this kind of tough love?
It's a good job I love her π€£ππ₯°
My first music festival... bucket list officially ticked off βοΈπͺ
Last week ChatGPT said to me: "Sandra... you've owned your own business for years, raised children, travelled the world... why is sleeping in a field causing you so much angst?" π€£
That was me told π€£ So I pulled on my big girl pants... (very pretty ones, obviously - I own a lingerie shop, innit? ππ), overthought absolutely EVERYTHING, tried (and failed) to get a glamping pass... and headed the whole 20 minutes up the road to Portlaw! π€£
This weekend at .ie was basically sponsored by , (home of the best breakfast burger I've ever eaten ππ€€), HRT, menopausal madness, an existential crisis, ... and Richie's Udder Rub. π«π
The biggest shout-out goes to my bestie - camping queen - who quite literally kept me alive. Love you! β€οΈ
Next week is proudly sponsored by... the fear, anti-inflammatories, Nexium... and absolutely no desire to leave my bed. π« π€£
Would I do it again?
Ask me after I've recovered... and if you've got a glamping pass with my name on it! π
