Mindful Art + Craft Workshops and Lesson Plans

Workshop Gifted marked our first workshop at Waterford Academy of Music & Arts (WAMA) as we settled into the space and enjoyed the creative bustle around us. Over two sessions with Suzan, participants layered gelliprints and transformed their colourful papers into gift bags, envelopes, wrapping paper and tags, with bubble wrap proving a favourite for adding texture.
There was something satisfying about seeing the prints become thoughtful, useful pieces. Fittingly, everyone left with something handmade, ready to be gifted to someone else. We'd love to welcome some new ladies to our group for our upcoming workshops! Get in touch if you would like to know more or have any questions.

Coastal Keepsakes at St Brigids Family Resource Centre was held over two sessions with facilitator Sam, with the group transforming white shells and scallops using sea-patterned serviettes and beads. The group enjoyed working with the shells and adding their own details to the finished decorations. The meditation was particularly well received and one participant shared how good it felt to return to creativity.

Pebble Bash at Beechmount, part of Tory Services, saw residents turn simple pebbles into framed flowers, characters and playful little scenes across two sessions with facilitator Sam. Different shapes and sizes of stones became part of each design, with drawn details and personal touches bringing the pieces to life. The group shared ideas, helped one another and took pride in their finished pebble creations.

With our apple tree in the front yard laden with little sweet red apples, it was a symbolic way to end our Creative Lab sessions at the River Cottage, with the concept of a harvest.
We created apples from old book pages that jogged memories and reminded us of everything that we had achieved over this summer season.
I am full of gratitude for the laughter and creativity around our dinner table, and I’m looking forward to our next sessions at Waterford Academy of Music & Arts (WAMA) from next week Wednesday onwards.
Join us, there is plenty space and parking!
