Out of office is well and truly on…
Wicklow is full of beauty at every turn, and most of us have our own “hidden gems” we love to walk. The Wicklow Trails app aims to make those hidden gems easier for everyone to discover.

What started as a branding project grew into a collaboration between Lighthouse Design, County Wicklow Partnership and their development team to create a user-friendly, people-first digital experience that feels distinctly Wicklow Trails — from the visual identity right through to the UI and UX of the app.

Absolutely delighted to share the new brand identity for the Wicklow Regatta Festival, a project I’ve had the pleasure of working on with the wonderful Regatta team. Wicklow Regatta Festival
Growing up in Wicklow Town, I have so many fond memories of the Regatta. What’s particularly special now is getting to relive those memories as my own children discover the excitement and community spirit that makes the festival such an important part of summer in the town.
The Regatta is entirely volunteer-led, and the dedication, passion and hard work that goes on behind the scenes is truly remarkable. Creating a refreshed identity that reflects the energy, heritage and ambition of the festival was an absolute privilege.
If I’m honest, my motivation was also a little selfish. I want my children to grow up looking forward to summers filled with golly fishing, duck races, gig rigs and great family events, just as I did. With the rising costs of running community events, it felt like the right time to contribute in a small way and help support the team’s efforts to attract new sponsors and continue building on the incredible work they’ve done—especially as we move closer to celebrating 150 years of the festival.
A huge thank you to everyone involved for trusting me with such an important piece of Wicklow’s history. I can’t wait to see the new brand come to life around the town in the months and years ahead.
👋 I’ve been very quiet on here lately… between busy work and home life it’s been difficult to keep up with a social media presence, something I aim to change over the coming months. Lots to share soon, some of my favourite projects I’ve ever had the pleasure of working on, so thanks for keeping an eye on the page and for now enjoy a bit of a brand refresh for us to wet your whistle for what’s to come.
