Projector connectivity should be designed around the classroom of today, not the devices of yesterday.
As teachers adopt USB-C laptops, classrooms embrace interactive technologies, and hybrid learning becomes the norm, projector connectivity must evolve beyond traditional HDMI and VGA architectures.
In our latest technology brief, we explore how projector manufacturers can extend the proven value of integrated long-distance connectivity into the USB-C era, while supporting interactivity and high-bandwidth peripherals within the requirements of a cost-sensitive market.

Europe has come to a close after a fantastic few days of conversations, innovation, and exciting collaborations.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by the Valens booth to see our live demonstrations of A-PHY connectivity in action, discuss the future of automotive sensing and architectures, and exchange ideas on the challenges and opportunities shaping the industry.
We were also proud to contribute to the conversation beyond the booth through Tim Wendel's presentation, "The MIPI A-PHY Connectivity Standard: The Backbone for Next-Gen Automotive Sensing," Juergen Baumgartner's participation in the roundtable discussion "Building Trust in Automotive SerDes: It Works. But Is It Robust?", and Arno Distel's role in chairing the "Data, AI and Connectivity in the Cabin" track.
Thank you to AutoSens and to everyone who helped make this such a valuable event. We look forward to continuing the conversations.
We're excited to announce our collaboration with onsemi on a cost-optimized integrated sensor based on the MIPI A-PHY standard for high-volume 3MP automotive camera applications.
"As automotive imaging systems continue to grow in scale and sophistication, customers are looking for solutions that simplify design without compromising performance. Through our collaboration with Valens, we're helping enable a more streamlined camera architecture that reduces component count, supports industry standards, and ultimately makes advanced vision systems easier to deploy."
~ Ahmed Salem, Vice President & General Manager of the Intelligent Sensing Group at onsemi.

Not every AV deployment has the same requirements. And not every architecture is designed to solve the same challenges.
In his latest white paper, industry veteran, educator, and technical author Meyer examines the misconceptions behind the HDBaseT vs. AV-over-IP discussion for commercial AV, through the lens of performance, scalability, complexity, image quality, and total cost of ownership.
The result is a thoughtful, data-driven perspective on the enduring strengths of and where it continues to deliver the greatest value in professional AV environments.

"OEMs are choosing A-PHY because it delivers the performance and robustness they need... Bandwidth is important, but deterministic performance in a noisy environment is essential... It's not just about getting the data rate in the lab, it's about ensuring that a safety-critical camera continues delivering correct data throughout the vehicle's lifecycle in the real world... At the same time, A-PHY gives OEMs ecosystem freedom and the ability to select the right solution without being dependent on a single source... And the ability to have a standard that is already interoperable between several vendors also helps reduce time to market."
Ahead of AutoSens Europe 2026, Carl Anthony sat down with Edo Cohen, SVP Product at Valens Semiconductor, to discuss why more OEMs are adopting A-PHY.
