October 7th is a very difficult day in Israel.
It is the day when evil attacked the good.
Today, we remember those we lost.
We remember the wounded.
We remember the hostages and their families.
We remember the families whose lives changed forever.
But we also remember something else: we cannot allow this to happen again.
That is why Israel must continue to fight until the ideology that seeks to destroy us can no longer threaten us from our borders.
Three years ago, places that were built to save lives became death traps.
Along the roads of southern Israel, there are small bomb shelters meant to protect people from rockets.
On October 7th, 27 young people from the Nova music festival crowded into this shelter, desperately trying to survive.
Among them were extraordinary heroes who repeatedly threw hand grenades back outside as terrorists attacked the shelter. Some of those inside were later taken hostage and survived captivity.
But every person who stood inside that shelter was a hero.
Imagine being trapped inside while, just a few feet away, dozens of terrorists were throwing grenades and firing into the shelter.
7 survived.
16 were murdered.
4 were kidnapped.
Among those kidnapped was Hersh Goldberg-Polin, who was later brutally murdered in the tunnels of Gaza.
Twenty-seven young lives.
Twenty-seven families.
Twenty-seven stories that should never be forgotten.
We will never forget.
When you come to Israel on one of my tours, there is always an opportunity to travel through this area, visit the places where the October 7th attacks happened, hear the stories, and try to understand this reality in a much deeper way.
Some things cannot truly be understood from a television screen.
It is so important to understand the reality in it's own context.
We remember. We tell their stories. And we will never forget.

Super excited to be reunited with the loves of my life!
October 7, 2023. 6:29 in the morning.
Shabbat. Simchat Torah.
A day that was supposed to be filled with joy, the celebration of the Torah, became one of the darkest days in the history of the State of Israel.
At the Nova music festival, more than 3,500 people had gathered to dance and celebrate life. 364 of them were brutally murdered.
Today, we mark the Hebrew-calendar anniversary of the atrocities of October 7.
For Israelis, Simchat Torah will never feel exactly the same.
We remember the families who woke up that morning and lost everything. We remember the communities that were attacked. We remember those who were murdered, those who were taken hostage, and the soldiers and civilians who ran toward danger to save others.
And we must remember what happened—not only the numbers, but the hatred that made such brutality possible.
One of the hardest things for me is watching people try to understand this conflict only through slogans, often through the reality they know from their own countries, Their own context of life and culture rather than the reality of the Middle East and Israel.
When I hear the words “From the river to the sea,” I know exactly what it means. It means death to my family and my country. It was sold to the West as a Palestinian state but they meant no more Israel and if you're buying it you're playing their game.
Words matter. Facts matter. History matters.
We should be very careful not to allow slogans, hatred, or misinformation to replace truth and understanding.
We remember October 7.
We remember the victims.
We remember those who fell defending us.
And we choose life.
May their memories be a blessing forever.
Let us be a light for truth.
Let’s tour Israel together. 🇮🇱
