Blow the trumpet in Zion, sound the alarm on My Holy Hill (Joel 2:1)

Trumpets- Symbolize God’s Divine presence, Spiritual warnings or awakening, Calls to action and ultimate Victory of God.

Four Main Types of Blast:

1. TEKIAH - ( the sound of TRIUMPH)- a single, long clarity, strength and bringing oneself together.

2. SHEVARIM - ( the sound of SIGHING) - a series of three short, broken sounds that mimic the sound of weeping or sighing. It represents a broken heart and sobbing.

3. TERUAH ( the sound of ALARM) - a rapid succession of nine or more staccato piercing notes. It serves as a wake up call to shake people out of spiritual slamber .

4.TEKIAH GEDOLAH ( the GREAT BLAST) - an extra, long, sustained Tekiah held for as the blower’s breath allows. It traditionally marks the dramatic conclusion of a service or holiday.

Takeaway: Don’t just hear the trumpet—respond to God’s call. Return to Him with a sincere and repentant heart.
