The Master's University Israel Bible Extension (IBEX) program was founded in 1995 as a semester-abroad, in-depth study of the Scripture based on experiencing the land, culture, and language of the Bible first hand. Students are afforded the opportunity to live, travel, and study in the land for three months, where the combination of study and hands-on experience is unequalled. Doug Bookman, co-founder of the IBEX program, has been known to comment, "Everyone has an impression of the land of the Bible before they come. "The best thing we can do to teach students is to get them on site. We want to get them there so they can see that these are real places, where real people were involved in real events with real consequences. It reinforces the fact that the God of the Bible is real and true." - Dr. Jason Beals (IBEX Director)

IBEX Alumni - consider joining the Reunion Tour, summer 2027!
TMU is excited to host an Israel Bible Extension (IBEX) reunion trip June 12-24, 2027. The trip is designed for alumni of TMU’s IBEX program and their families as a way to re-experience the land of Israel and reunite with fellow TMU graduates. Originally planned for summer 2026, the trip was rescheduled for next summer. Link in comments.

IBEX IS BACK!
After an eventful summer, the fall semester is underway in the Holy Land.
With only 9 students, this is the smallest ibex group ever. However, that only means more adventures!

Well, after a very unpredictable and trial-some semester, IBEX sp26 is over! This was a fantastic group and we are so glad that the Lord brought about the trials He did to sanctify His people. After the initial ceasefire, this group got a blitz of travel and sites in about a 2 week period. Some of the places were Masada, The Dead Sea, and Caesarea, and then they ended their time going to Jordan and then Greece. In Greece they saw various sites with Dr. Beals and his wife Steph joining them for the final portion of the trip before heading back to the States.
So many fun memories and things that will stick with the group for a long time, it was truly a blessing! Until next semester! 🙌

Welcome to Sp 26! Our Jerusalem field studies were a great start to the semester, this group has been a joy to be around and they have gotten close to quickly. We are excited for a semester filled with learning and joy in Christ together!
Well just like that, it is a wrap on Fa ‘25. Such a great group we are so thankful to God that He had it for these individuals to spend the semester in Israel!
