Michael has spent 39 years working across the African continent in the Energy, Telecoms and TowerCo industries, in both commercial and operational leadership roles, a combination that will serve our customers in South Africa well as we support their energy infrastructure.

This Customer Service Week, with its theme of "The Extra Mile," we've been thinking about what good service asks of us. Fixing what goes wrong is the baseline. It's where we start, never where we stop. Galooli was proud to take part in the Girls in ICT Hackathon 2026, held last week at Kenyatta University under the theme "AI for Development: Girls Shaping the Digital Future."

Organized by American Tower Corporation (ATC) Kenya, in partnership with Kenyatta University, the hackathon brought together over 150 young women innovators who worked alongside industry professionals, built their own tech-driven solutions, and received hands-on mentorship.

Njoki Kimari, Esther C. Chelagat, and Ian Nyaga represented Galooli at the event, spending time at our booth to mentor students and talk through what a career in tech infrastructure can look like.

Digital inclusion and gender equality in STEM are causes we care about, because the people building tomorrow's technology are sitting in rooms like this one today.

Fuel and battery theft rarely gets caught in the act. Most operators only find out when a technician happens to check, or when the fuel numbers don't add up weeks later, and by then it's already cost them more than once.

The theme this year, "Global action for a cooler planet," is a reminder that energy-efficient technology and industrial innovation deliver measurable climate progress without waiting for a future breakthrough.

We see our own work the same way. Galooli's platform is built to help operators run every asset they already have, generators, batteries, solar, and hybrid systems alike, more efficiently from day one, with no rip-and-replace needed.

We track, analyze, and act on how that equipment runs, so there's less fuel and energy waste and lower emissions, on the equipment already in place.
