“I saw my watchman seeing an intimate scene from one of my films that was leaked. I could not step out of the house for four days. It was very difficult for me to deal with.” ~ Actress Radhika Apte.

Hmmmm, well Radhika, you chose to do intimate scenes in films as part of your profession. Right? Most of your films involve such scenes. That is ultimately your professional choice.

Whenever a scene from a film gets leaked, people are naturally going to talk about it. I believe the questions should be directed at the filmmakers or the team associated with the film.

The public is going to discuss something that has entered the public domain. That part is inevitable. And if a filmmaker or a film team chooses to create a particular scene, and that scene subsequently gets leaked from within the film’s ecosystem, then blaming the public for discussing it should be the last thing we do.

How did the scene get leaked in the first place, and who had access to it? Was it deliberately leaked as a PR stunt or publicity strategy to generate buzz and conversation around the film? The responsibility should first be examined at the source of the leak, rather than being shifted onto people who are simply reacting to something that has already been made available to them.
