Prof. Satwinder Singh is a distinguished academician, researcher and education leader, currently serving as Professor in the Department of Computer Science & Technology and Dean, School of Engineering & Technology at Central University of Punjab, Bathinda.

With 18+ years of teaching experience and 15 years of administrative leadership, Prof. Singh has made significant contributions to higher education, research and technological innovation. 👏

His academic expertise spans Big Data Analytics, Data Science, Software Engineering, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing and Text Analysis. 📊🤖

His research achievements include securing a ₹37 lakh ICMR research grant as Principal Investigator for a project focused on Big Data analysis and visualization of COVID-19 data in India. He has also contributed to multiple research projects supported by ICSSR, CSI and Central University of Punjab.

Beyond academics, Prof. Singh has organised numerous national and international conferences, delivered expert and keynote lectures, and played key roles in academic administration and technology implementation.

From Chandrayaan missions to PSLV launches, Dr. Kamaljit Singh Soni has played a vital role in shaping India’s space achievements. A proud Sikh mind behind ISRO’s technological strides, he exemplifies brilliance and service to the nation.

Born and raised in Patiala, Prabhsimran Singh has carved his own name in Indian cricket through fearless batting and relentless hard work. 💪🏏

From picking up the bat at just 8 years old to representing Punjab in domestic cricket and becoming a key player for Punjab Kings in the IPL, his journey is truly inspiring. 👏

His breakthrough came in IPL 2025, when he smashed 549 runs in 17 innings at an incredible strike rate of 160.53! 🔥💥

In the 2026 season, he continued his attacking style with impressive knocks including 80 off 39 balls and 51 off 25 balls. 🚀

A remarkable achievement for Dr Harshvir Singh Grewal, who has graduated as a Doctor from the prestigious University of Cambridge after completing six years of study and earning two degrees. 👏🎓

One of his most meaningful contributions has been developing the first dedicated teaching session on Religious Intolerance in Healthcare at the University of Cambridge. His efforts were recognised with the Theo Chalmers Prize for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion 2026. 🏆

He is now beginning the next chapter of his journey as a Resident Doctor at Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust, while continuing his work in research, education and health policy. 🩺

Balbir Kaur became the first woman to serve as a Regimental Sergeant Major in Singapore’s armed forces — breaking barriers in a role traditionally held by men. 💪👏

Inspired by her father, who had worked with the Royal Air Force and deeply respected military service, Balbir joined the Republic of Singapore Air Force in 1978.

In 2000, after more than two decades of service, she was appointed Regimental Sergeant Major — a historic milestone that came with the responsibility of operations, discipline, regimentation and leading parades. 🎖️

11-Year-Old Sanvi Sood Conquers Mount Ararat!

Ropar’s young achiever Sanvi Sood has successfully climbed Mount Ararat (5,137 m), Turkey’s highest peak, at just 11 years old!

At the summit, she proudly hoisted the Indian Tricolour 🇮🇳 with the message “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao.”

Four young hockey players from Punjab have been selected for the Indian Junior Men’s Hockey Team.

The selected players are:
• Prabhdeep Singh (Mithapur)
• Manmeet Singh Rai (Khusropur)
• Lavnoor Singh (PAP Jalandhar)
• Gursewak Singh (RoundGlass Academy)

The teams will represent India at the Junior Asia Cup in China from August 30 to September 18.
