A pen had fallen to the ground, and the priest can also be seen bending down to pick it up. The President simply attempted to pick it up as a gesture of respect and courtesy.

We respectfully ask viewers and media outlets not to misrepresent such moments or spread misleading information that can create unnecessary negativity.

The President welcomed all the honored guests with respect and open arms. There is no basis for portraying this simple gesture as an act of submission or as evidence of disrespect toward the priest.
