মিস্ত্রি বলল "দশ হাজার ইট লাগবে"। ঠিক বলল কি না, নিজে মিলিয়ে নিন।
হিসাবটা তিন ধাপের। একবার শিখলে সারাজীবন কাজে লাগবে।
1. চার দেওয়ালের মোট লম্বা
লম্বা আর চওড়া যোগ করে দুই দিয়ে গুণ করুন।
13 x 11 ফুট ঘর হলে: (13 + 11) x 2 = 48 ফুট
2. দেওয়ালের মোট মাপ
সেটাকে উচ্চতা দিয়ে গুণ করুন।
48 x 10 = 480 sqft
দরজা আর জানালার জায়গাটা বাদ দিন। একটা দরজা আর একটা জানালা ধরলে প্রায়
40 sqft। তাহলে থাকল 440 sqft।
3. ইটের হিসাব
5 ইঞ্চি গাঁথনিতে প্রতি 100 sqft-এ প্রায় 500 ইট লাগে, মশলার জোড়া ধরে।
440 ÷ 100 x 500 = প্রায় 2,200 ইট
তারপর 5% বাড়িয়ে নিন — ভাঙা ইট, কাটা ইট আর নষ্টের জন্য।
মোট প্রায় 2,300 ইট।
মনে রাখবেন
এটা 5 ইঞ্চি গাঁথনির হিসাব। 10 ইঞ্চি দেওয়াল হলে প্রায় দ্বিগুণ ইট লাগবে।
আর ইটের মাপ সব জায়গায় এক নয়। আপনার এলাকার ইট একটু বড় বা ছোট হলে সংখ্যাটাও
বদলাবে। কাজ শুরুর আগে কয়েকটা ইট মেপে দেখে নিন।
এবার আমার দিক থেকে যেটা বলার
ইট গাঁথার সময় ইট ভিজিয়ে নিতে বলুন।
শুকনো ইট মশলার জল টেনে নেয়। তাতে মশলা ঠিকমতো শক্ত হয় না, জোড়া দুর্বল থাকে,
আর পরে ওই জোড়া দিয়েই জল ঢোকে।
এই একটা ধাপ বাদ পড়লে গাঁথনি যত ভালোই দেখাক, ভেতরে দুর্বল।
আর প্লাস্টার করার আগে
গাঁথনি শেষ হওয়ার পর কিউরিং করুন। তারপর প্লাস্টার। প্লাস্টারেও কিউরিং লাগে,
আর প্লাস্টার পুরো শুকোনোর আগে রং করবেন না।
কাঁচা প্লাস্টারে রং দিলে নোনা ধরবেই — যত দামি রংই দিন।
প্লাস্টারে ফাটল কমাতে Dr. Fixit Plaster Master, আর কংক্রিটে Pidiproof LW+ —
দুটোই দোকানে আছে।
Save করে রাখুন — ইট কেনার আগে মিলিয়ে নেবেন।
