HIV/AIDS Transmission (Spread By)

HIV can be transmitted through:

Unprotected va**nal, a**l, or oral s*x with an infected person

Sharing contaminated needles or syringes

Transfusion of infected blood or blood products

From an HIV-positive mother to her baby during pregnancy, childbirth, or breastfeeding

Accidental needle-stick injuries in healthcare settings

HIV/AIDS Not Transmitted By

HIV is not spread through:

HIV/AIDS – Short Notes

HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) is a virus that attacks the body's immune system, especially CD4 (T-helper) cells. If left untreated, HIV can progress to AIDS (Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome), the most advanced stage of HIV infection.

Vaginal Yeast Infection (Vaginal Candidiasis) – Short Notes

Definition:
A va**nal yeast infection is a common fungal infection caused mainly by Candida albicans. It affects the va**na and surrounding v***a.

Causes:

Overgrowth of Candida fungus

Antibiotic use

Pregnancy

Diabetes (especially if poorly controlled)

Weak immune system

Hormonal changes

Signs & Symptoms:

Intense va**nal itching

Thick, white, cottage cheese-like discharge
