CREESS – Let us live better 21/04/2025

Dear Friends Greetings,
The newly redesigned website of the Centre for Research in Ecology, Environment, and Sustainability Science (CREESS) creess.org — offers a clearer reflection of the Centre’s ecological ethos and its growing commitment to place-based, community-rooted research. Grounded in the understanding that environmental resilience emerges through sustained relationships between people and ecosystems, CREESS advances interdisciplinary inquiry that weaves ecological science with lived experience and cultural practice.

Among its diverse initiatives, the Human-Dolphin Coexistence Project exemplifies this approach—bringing together field ecology, traditional knowledge, and community engagement to study and support harmonious interactions between human settlements and cetacean populations. Through such work, CREESS continues to cultivate grounded, socially attuned ecological research that contributes to both local stewardship and broader sustainability science.
