Restless Development India
We work with young people in India so they can lead in solving challenges in their communities and demand a just and sustainable world for all.

๐ Every child deserves a childhood, an education, and the opportunity to dream.
๐ On World Day Against Child Labour, Restless Development, through the My Education, My Right programme, joined hands with VIEWS India to raise awareness on the importance of protecting children's rights and ensuring access to education.
Students from government schools across Sheragada Block took part in wall painting activities at five locations, using art to share powerful messages against child labour and in support of every child's right to learn. ๐จ More than 80 participants, including students, teachers, government representatives, community leaders, and youth facilitators, came together to mark the day and strengthen collective action for a future where no child is forced to work instead of learn.
โจ Together, we reaffirm our commitment to creating a future where every child is in school, empowered to learn, and free to reach their full potential.

At Restless Development, we believe the most powerful solutions to our planet's challenges come from the communities experiencing them, and from the young people leading change within them.
That's why we're proud to announce the 2026 cohort of our Inclusion Youth Fund grantees: 5 incredible youth-led organizations working at the intersection of climate resilience, civic engagement, gender justice, and livelihoods. ๐ฑ
This year's grantees are:
๐น Centre for Regional Education, Forest and Tourism Development Agency (CREFTDA)
๐น Pipal Tree
๐น Sama Foundation
๐น Women's Organisation for Rural Development (WORD)
๐น Youth for Social Development (YSD)
Each of these organizations is doing the hard, grassroots work of transforming mindsets, addressing inequities, and strengthening communities, from the inside out. We're honored to back them. ๐

๐ Investing in AI and tech-based skills is no longer a future prediction; it is an immediate requirement for young people navigating today's job market.
Ahead of the Global Partnerships Conference, we conducted multi-country consultations to ask youth about the investments needed to create sustainable opportunities. ๐ This clip highlights the urgent demand for future-ready education that bridges the gap between acquiring technical skills and securing industry-standard employment. ๐ผ

Develop Inclusion Learning Modules for Youth Champions
At Restless Development, we believe that young people are not just the future, they are the present. And building a truly just and sustainable world starts with ensuring no young person is left out of the conversation.
We are seeking a skilled consultant or consultancy agency to design and develop a learning module that will equip youth champions and grassroots leaders with the tools, understanding, and confidence to practice inclusion meaningfully, in their communities, programs, and leadership.
We're looking for someone who can:
โ
Ground learning in lived realities of marginalized youth
โ
Design participatory, experiential, and non-lecture-based sessions
โ
Speak to young people, not at them
๐ Remote | ๐๏ธ Deadline: 24th May 2026

What began as a local concern around a polluted open well in D.J. Halli became a collective effort involving residents, youth leaders, city departments, technical partners, and local organisations. The result was restored access to cleaner water for hundreds of households.

On May 4, we hosted a youth consultation on reimagining global partnerships, bringing together young people to share their perspectives ahead of the upcoming Global Partnerships Conference by the UKโs Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) ๐
What stood out most was the honesty, clarity, and critical thinking young people brought into the room.
Through real-world scenarios and discussion, they explored key questions:
โจ Who holds power in partnerships?
๐ฃ๏ธ Who gets heard?
โ๏ธ Who gets left out?
Some clear messages emerged:
๐ก Partnerships need real power sharing, not token participation
๐ค Funding must reach those closest to the challenges, including youth-led groups
๐ Investments should go beyond service delivery and support future opportunities like AI, digital skills, and pathways for emerging economies
Young people are full of ideas, solutions, and vision. The real challenge is ensuring they are meaningfully included in decision-making spaces.
