A home for three generations is never just about fitting everyone under one roof. It is about understanding different rhythms, routines and the need for both connection and privacy.
For Advaya, the planning began with this balance at its core. Private spaces are organised around shared areas, allowing the family to come together naturally while retaining their own sense of space.
Designed with clarity, warmth and adaptability, Advaya is a home that is meant to evolve with the family and hold the everyday moments that make it truly theirs.
Strong lines. Warm textures. Thoughtful details.
A contemporary residence designed around light, privacy, and everyday living.
Repetitive vertical frames create a strong architectural rhythm, while recessed balconies and warm lighting bring scale, depth, and a sense of home to the façade.

A house may begin with a brief, but it rarely ends there.
For us, designing a home is a process of getting to know the people who will inhabit it, questioning what the brief asks for, testing what could work differently, and allowing ideas to evolve through conversation.
The client isn’t at the receiving end of the design process. They are part of it.
There are plans to redraw, decisions to revisit, ideas to challenge and details to refine. And somewhere through all of this, a house slowly becomes something that could only belong to the people who live in it.
For this home, that process was as much about the relationship as it was about the architecture.
And perhaps the best way to understand what that relationship feels like is to hear it from the people who lived through it.

Not Everything In This Home Is New.
Some of the most meaningful elements in House by the Park were already part of the family’s life.
Artwork collected over years, pieces brought back from travels, and familiar objects were carried into the new home rather than replaced. We wanted the architecture to make space for these memories, not compete with them.
Natural light became an important part of that relationship. As it moves through the house, it changes how each artwork, texture and object is experienced throughout the day. What feels quiet in the morning can take on an entirely different character by evening.
The result is an interior that doesn’t feel newly assembled. It feels layered, familiar and lived in.
Because sometimes the best way to make a new home feel like yours is to leave room for what already belongs to you.

A kitchen doesn't have to be hidden to be functional.
At House by the Park, the open kitchen was designed as part of the family's everyday living space, rather than a room separated from it. By opening it towards the family living area, cooking becomes part of the conversation, gathering and rhythm of the home.
More than an open-plan decision, it was about creating a home where everyday activities could happen together. Someone can be cooking, another person can be sitting in the living room, and a conversation can continue without anyone having to leave the room.
For us, good planning is often about making everyday life feel more effortless.

From Existing Structure To A New Way Of Living
This was not a new house for the family. It was their home, one that already held years of memories, routines and familiarity.
When the decision was made to reconstruct it, the opportunity was not simply to build something new, but to rethink how the family wanted to live in the years ahead.
The existing structure gave us a starting point. We reimagined it around greater connection, privacy, natural light and a stronger relationship with the park.
Some things were transformed completely. Others were carried forward, including the family’s furniture, artwork and collected objects.
The result is not a house that forgot what came before. It is a new chapter of the same home, shaped around the life the family was already living.

Why did we detach the staircase?
Because we didn’t want it to simply connect one floor to another. We wanted it to connect the family to the home.
By pulling the staircase away from the wall, we created a vertical void that allows daylight from the skylight above to travel through the house. The resulting wall became a blank canvas for a hand-painted contemporary Tree of Life, unfolding across all four floors.
What began as a structural and spatial decision became something more personal: a place where movement, light, art and everyday family life come together.
Sometimes, the most important design decisions are the ones that change how a home is experienced, not just how it looks.
