After the success of Shershaah and a challenging run at the box office, Sidharth Malhotra is once again finding himself in the spotlight with VVAAN.

The film has collected ₹52 crore in its first four days, opening at ₹10 crore on Day 1, followed by ₹15 crore on Day 2 and a strong ₹20 crore on Day 3. Day 4 added another ₹7 crore, taking the four-day total to ₹52 crore.

The strong Sunday performance has given the film additional momentum and strengthened its early theatrical run.

VVAAN has also introduced Sidharth in a rawer, more intense and mass-oriented avatar, with audiences responding positively to the new presentation. After a period of criticism and underwhelming box-office results, the film’s early performance represents an encouraging phase for the actor.

For Sidharth, VVAAN could mark an important turning point and bring the confidence of a successful theatrical run back into his career.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay honoured Kovilpalayam police station Head Constable M. Velmurugan at the State Secretariat on September 29 for his role in stopping an alleged gutka smuggling operation in Coimbatore.

Velmurugan made headlines after climbing onto the roof of a speeding SUV when its occupants allegedly tried to escape during a police vehicle check. Nepal is witnessing a devastating natural disaster after a huge section of mountainside collapsed into the Kali Gandaki River near Lete in Mustang District following days of relentless rainfall.

RPG Group Chairman Harsh Goenka has questioned the growing debate around VIP treatment at Mumbai’s iconic Lalbaugcha Raja, arguing that religious visits should not become publicity-driven events.

In a post on X, Goenka criticised the presence of photographers, selfies and influencer coverage around temple visits and specifically questioned why VIP darshan should exist at Lalbaugcha Raja. He said he believes that billionaires, celebrities and ordinary devotees should be treated equally before God and questioned why everyone cannot stand in the same queue.

His comments came amid renewed discussion online over the contrasting experiences of ordinary devotees and high-profile visitors during this year’s Ganeshotsav.

Notably, the Lalbaugcha Raja Mandal’s official information says it does not issue VIP passes or charge devotees for darshan, while offering Mukh Darshan and Charan Sparsh Darshan.

The confidence comes after Hanuman Ansh maintained its momentum despite competition from major releases, including Yash’s Toxic. Made on a reported budget of ₹2 crore and inspired by the life of Neem Karoli Baba, the film has now crossed ₹360 crore worldwide.

Meanwhile, OTT platforms continue to approach the makers, but the team is reportedly in no hurry to finalize a streaming deal. Sona has also dismissed reports of a ₹100 crore OTT offer, reiterating that the priority remains the theatrical experience and the 100-day target.
