This room started with the wood.

We carried the same warm finish across the bed, bedside units and wardrobes, then kept the walls quiet with a soft textured beige. The green artwork was added to break that monotony and give the room a stronger visual point.

The curved mirror brings a softer shape into all the straight lines, while the warm lighting picks up the wood tones and changes the mood of the room after sunset.

It’s a fairly simple palette, but the contrast between wood, texture, green and light is what gives this room its character.

The part we’d look at twice:

how the dining setup sits against the timber partition without feeling visually boxed in.

The table is fairly substantial, so the lighter chairs, open cane pendant and reflective surface behind it keep that side of the room from becoming too dense.

Then the same timber picks up again in the living area — enough to connect the two spaces, but not so much that everything starts looking like a matching set.

That balance is where most of the work is.

Some kitchens are defined by a statement piece!
This one is defined by how everything sits together!!

The darker walnut creates depth against a restrained neutral palette, the bronze glass adds a softer visual break, and the stone surfaces bring a subtle texture into the mix. Warm illumination picks up the grain and glass at just the right points, giving the cabinetry a different character in the evening.

It’s a balance of warmth, structure and detail — without anything feeling excessive.
