Empowering today's children & youth of Tikiapara, Howrah through education, life skills & vocational At Samaritan Help Mission we dream with our eyes open.
What started as one child's dream to go to school 30 years back, has today metamorphosed into a movement that has touched and changed innumerable children's lives in Tikiapara, Howrah. Our aim is to give a better future to the underprivileged children of all the communities in our slum. From 8 students two decades back, we have grown into a family of over 800 students who attend multiple institutions including the SHM School, vocational & skill development centers, English & Computer training facilities and even the day care & rehabilitation center for children with special needs. We want to educate and empower the community's youth and prepare them to be more confident and equipped citizens of tomorrow. We believe we can be the change we want to see.

Happy Teachers’ Day!
On the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, we celebrate the teachers who inspire, guide, and shape the future of our nation.
His life reminds us that education is not just about gaining knowledge, but also about building character and responsible citizens.
Today, we express our heartfelt gratitude to every teacher who makes a difference in the lives of students.
Thank you for being the guiding light behind every success.
Some bonds are tied by love, not just by a thread!

Education knows no boundaries! ❤️
At Samaritan Mission School (High), children from different backgrounds learn, grow and dream together. The friendship between Anuska and Farah reminds us that a classroom teaches more than books—it teaches love, respect, sharing and unity.
When children learn together, they build a stronger and more united India. 🇮🇳
Learning beyond the classroom! Samaritan Help Mission was delighted to host the 1st Semester MSW students from St. Xavier's University for an engaging field exposure visit. The students explored our community learning centers, interacted with school children, visited our healthcare and eye hospital units, and witnessed vocational skill training in action.
Listening to community experiences and understanding grassroots development firsthand brought social work theory to life. Thank you to the students and faculty of St. Xavier's University for visiting us and sharing this wonderful learning experience!
