The programme is organized under the Chief Minister’s Entrepreneurship Support Scheme (CMESS) of the Manipur Startup Scheme.
We were delighted to host Shri Ksh. Bikramjit Singh, Deputy Registrar, Cooperative Societies, Government of Manipur as the Expert Speaker.
He shared his valuable insights on the Cooperative Sector, with a special focus on its role in Entrepreneurship Development Programmes (EDP), cooperative initiatives in Manipur, and the significance of the cooperative movement in India.

Inauguration of the Seven-Day Entrepreneurship Development Programme
- Date: 3rd August 2026 : National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT) Imphal -
The inaugural function of a seven-day Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP), organised under the Chief Minister’s Entrepreneurship Support Scheme (CMESS) of the Manipur StartUp Scheme, was held at the Seminar Hall, NIELIT Imphal, Akampat. The programme aims to strengthen entrepreneurial awareness, enterprise-planning skills and self-employment readiness among aspiring entrepreneurs and the youth of Manipur.
CMESS is a State Government initiative designed to support eligible entrepreneurs in establishing and developing sustainable business enterprises through subsidy-linked bank financing. Under the scheme, eligible business proposals may receive financial assistance of up to â‚ą 10 lakh, comprising a 30 per cent State Government subsidy, a 65 per cent bank loan and a 5 per cent beneficiary contribution.

04.08.2026: Day 2, Expert Session 1 of the 7-Day Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP)
organized under the Chief Minister’s Entrepreneurship Support Scheme (CMESS) of the Manipur Startup Scheme was held at the Seminar Hall, NIELIT Imphal, Akampat.
As part of the programme, Dr. L. Jibon Kumar Sharma, Professor at the Manipur Institute of Management Studies, Manipur University, delivered a session on the topic “Seven Sources of Innovation”.
Dr. Sharma is an accomplished academician, researcher, and expert in International Business, Entrepreneurship, and Communication, with numerous publications in reputed international journals.
He currently serves as the Coordinator of International Relations at Manipur University and has made significant contributions to academia, industry and community service.
Beyond academics, his dedication extends to humanitarian initiatives, including pandemic relief efforts and international collaborative projects.

The 7-Day Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) under CMESS - Manipur Startup Scheme was inaugurated at NIELIT Imphal, Akampat on 03rd August, 2026.
The program was organized by NIELIT Imphal in collaboration with Planning Department, Govt. of Manipur & StartUP Manipur 2.0, and saw participation of 140 trainees from 7 districts.
Chief Guest: Dr. R.K. Radhesana Devi, Director, Planning Department, Govt. of Manipur addressed the gathering. She emphasized that the training aims to turn local creators into successful business leaders and strengthen the startup ecosystem in Manipur.
The Director also urged students to apply for the *6-Month Prime Minister’s Internship Scheme with a *₹9,000 monthly stipend.
