We are pleased to share that Labour Migrants from Northeast India: On the Move to Delhi by Naorem Pushparani Chanu has been published by Routledge in July 2026.

The book examines the changing patterns of labour migration from Northeast India to Delhi, with particular attention to migrantsโ employment in the service sector, their experiences of urban life, discrimination and housing, and the social and familial consequences of migration.
This important work contributes to the understanding of migration, labour, urbanisation, and the changing socio-economic landscape of Northeast India.

The IDSK organised its Foundation Day Lecture on 21 August 2026, delivered by Shri Anirban Chattopadhyay, eminent journalist and former Chief Editor, ABP.
