Children don't do what we tell them. They do what they see.

Our girls hesitated. So our facilitator went first. Not once, but five times.

And then this happened.

At Project KHEL, even the simplest energizer isn't just a game. With a few thoughtful tweaks, familiar games become moments to build confidence, trust, and courage.

Leadership isn't about giving instructions. It's about creating a space where courage feels possible.

That is how we play. That is how we lead. That is how change begins.

Our work looks like fun. It looks like laughter and joy and all things warm and fuzzy.

But make no mistake—we're disrupting the world order, one game at a time.

Look at these girls in offence mode. The fire in their eyes. The power in their stance. The joy in their leap.

These aren't just photos. These are impact stories.

Captured some beautiful moments of friendship during one of our evaluation activities ❤️

Back in school, we remember being separated from our friends in class. Our teachers felt we would be disruptive together! One thing we knew at Project KHEL is that we will let friendships blossom, even if the chasers' team looks like this ❤️

The children wearing bibs in this photo are not waiting for their turn to play. They have formed a boundary around the field to ensure that younger children, who have just come out for their break, do not accidentally enter the playing area and get injured.

Youth participation is often discussed as a programme outcome. At Project KHEL, it is built through everyday practice. Small acts of ownership, care, and collective responsibility like these are how participation evolves into leadership.

Our children finally got Manju out after what felt like a hundred intense rounds of dodgeball—and the celebrations were fully justified. 😄

Meanwhile, Manju did what our facilitators do best: walked off smiling, applauding the children who got her out. Because our facilitators understand that children don't learn only from what adults tell them—they learn from watching what adults do. ❤️
