Bringing the Gift of Clear Vision

Indian Development Foundation (IDF), in collaboration with Sahu Eye Hospital, conducted a four-day eye screening camp at Gurukul High School & Junior College, Malvani, an underprivileged school, benefiting around 550 students, parents and support staff.

The initiative went beyond a routine eye check-up. Those who required prescription spectacles were provided with glasses, while individuals requiring further medical attention were referred to Sahu Eye Hospital for appropriate treatment. The required treatment will be made available at subsidised rates, ensuring that financial constraints do not stand in the way of essential eye care.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to a generous donor who has chosen to remain anonymous, in keeping with their wish for privacy. Their valuable contribution has helped make this initiative possible and ensured that those in need could receive the eye care and support they required.

Empowering Young Minds Through POCSO Awareness

Today, Indian Development Foundation (IDF) conducted a POCSO Awareness Session at Holy Angel’s Girls Primary & High School, Frazer Town, Bengaluru, reaching 600 students from Classes 5 to 12.

The session was led by Dr. Sridevi Vadakoo, POCSO-certified professional from Swakshatra Trust, who sensitively addressed child safety, personal boundaries, recognising inappropriate behaviour, and seeking help.

The students actively participated, asked thoughtful questions and clarified their doubts, making the session interactive and meaningful.

Through such initiatives, IDF remains committed to empowering children with knowledge and confidence to stay safe, speak up and protect themselves.

Project Dignity – Promoting Menstrual Health & Hygiene

Today, Indian Development Foundation (IDF) distributed 252 Project Dignity Kits to 9th Standard girl students of R.V. Girls School, Jayanagar, Bangalore helping young girls access essential menstrual hygiene products and information.

The kits were generously sponsored by Marlabs Innovations Pvt. Ltd., whose continued support is helping IDF promote dignity, health and well-being among adolescent girls.

The distribution was complemented by an engaging and interactive awareness session on Menstrual & Personal Hygiene, conducted by Ms. Vismita and Ms. Tejaswini, Clinical Psychologists from Inner World Counseling for Mental Well-Being.

The session provided a safe and informative space for the students to learn, openly discuss and clarify their doubts about menstruation and personal hygiene. The curious questions raised by the students reflected their eagerness to understand and learn, while the valuable inputs shared by the resource persons helped dispel misconceptions and build greater awareness and confidence.

Through Project Dignity, IDF strives to ensure that every adolescent girl receives not only access to menstrual hygiene products, but also the knowledge, confidence and dignity to manage her menstrual health with care.
