CRY works to ensure happier childhoods for India's children! Our children are our country’s future.

Let’s invest in their potential today, so that they can become our scientists, politicians, sportspeople, journalists and teachers of tomorrow.

The digital world comes with a vocabulary of its own and knowing these terms can help us better understand the risks that come with being online.

Pharming. Whaling. Vishing. Doxxing. Spoofing. These are some of the lesser-known forms of online deception and harm that children and adults may encounter while navigating the digital world.

Through our series, we are breaking down these terms in a simple and accessible way — helping children, parents and caregivers recognise what they may come across online and know when to pause and think twice.

Online safety is not only about knowing what to do when something goes wrong. It is also about being able to recognise the warning signs before we click, share, respond or trust.

Ting Tong! Take a pause. 🔔💛

🕵️‍♂️ ফেলুদার মতোই, অনলাইনে কিছু দেখলেই বিশ্বাস নয় — আগে একটু খোঁজখবর দরকার। 👀🔔
(Just like Feluda, don’t believe everything you see online — investigate a little first.)

A post, profile or message may look convincing, but the real story could be something else. Before you believe, share or trust something online, pause and investigate, check where it came from, question what you’re seeing and look for what might be missing.

Because online, just like any good mystery, the first thing you see isn’t always the whole truth.

🔔 Ting Tong! Pause. Think Twice. Stay Safe.

A pause can make all the difference. 🔔💛 Thank you, Payal, for lending your voice to and reminding parents and children that staying safe online starts with taking a moment to think twice. Together, let’s make the digital world safer for every child. 🌱

টিং টং, পজ করুন (Ting Tong! Take a pause.) 🔔💛

The internet can be a space to learn, have fun, connect with others and discover new things. But with all these possibilities come risks that children may not always know how to recognise.

That’s why a little pause can go a long way.

Before clicking on a link, replying to a message, sharing something or connecting with someone online, take a moment to think. That small habit can help children make safer choices and protect themselves in the digital world.

💙 Every child deserves to explore the online world safely, confidently and without fear.

Join CRY’s Ting Tong initiative and help make online safety a conversation that reaches every child and family.

For cyber fraud or a cyber-related incident, remember 1930.

"Sometimes, raising awareness can start with a very simple thing - take a pause"

The online world is changing rapidly, bringing new complexities and risks, especially for children. From bullying and grooming to trafficking, it isn’t always easy to understand what’s safe and what isn’t.

That’s why awareness matters. And sometimes, it can begin with something as simple as taking a moment to think before we act.

Ting Tong! Take a pause. 💛

A fake opportunity can hide a very real danger. 👀

Cyber trafficking can begin with a message, a job offer, a promise of easy money or a reward that seems too good to be true. What looks harmless at first can put children and young people at serious risk.

That’s why it’s important to pause, question what you see and reach out when something feels wrong. 💙

Proud Sports for Change Milestone!

We are delighted to share that Aayush Bediya (17), a participant of the CRY MP “Sports for Change” Project, has successfully cleared the Agniveer Written Examination. 🏆

Belonging to the Bediya community and coming from a financially disadvantaged family, Aayush has demonstrated remarkable determination and resilience. Alongside his studies and family responsibilities, he has excelled in Kabaddi, 100m & 400m races, and Long Jump.

The collaborative efforts of HCL Foundation and CRY have supported Aayush’s journey through sports training, mentorship, encouragement, and exposure to opportunities that have helped him unlock his potential.

His physical examination is scheduled for October, and we wish him every success as he advances to the next stage of the selection process. 💛

Meet Dr. Gurveen Garekar and Dr. Siddharth Garekar, dermatologists, entrepreneurs and co-founders of COMPOUND, who are taking on the Vedanta Delhi Half Marathon with a purpose beyond the race.

For them, running is an opportunity to bring people together around a cause that can create meaningful change, supporting CRY’s work towards child rights, education and creating opportunities for children to learn, grow and dream bigger.

Their run is a reminder that when we use our time, platforms and passions for a purpose, even a personal challenge can become part of something bigger.

Brilliance doesn’t choose a gender. Access to opportunity shouldn’t either.

India has given the world some of its brightest minds. But imagine what the future could look like if every girl with a dream had the tools, opportunities and support to pursue it.

Through its STEM initiatives, CRY is working to make STEM education more accessible to children, particularly girls, by creating spaces where they can learn, experiment, build confidence and explore possibilities.

Today, CRY has established 142 STEM centres across India, reaching over 35,000 children, with girls accounting for 53% of those reached.

These centres are more than spaces for learning. They are helping children see themselves as problem-solvers, innovators and future changemakers.

We’re grateful to Oracle for supporting this journey and helping India’s girls learn, grow and dream bigger through STEM education.
Because when opportunity reaches every child, brilliance gets the chance to grow.

Some runs are about the finish line. Some are about giving someone else a chance to reach theirs. 🏃‍♀️❤️

On her child’s 10th birthday, Roshni Guhathakurta decided to take on the JBG Kolkata Marathon 2026 for a cause close to her heart, helping children access education.

Running in support of CRY India, Roshni is raising funds to help children learn, grow, dream and build a better future. 📚✨

For every child who gets the opportunity to stay in school, discover their potential and dream bigger, every step counts.

Join Roshni in making her run count. Your contribution can help create more opportunities for children.
