“Mary has chosen the better part and it will not be taken from her”

Choosing What Is Essential
As this new day begins, pause to acknowledge the Lord’s grace, allowing it to awaken you and give you life. Entrust this day to Him with confidence, desiring to live it under His guidance. Allow His Word to invite you to choose what is essential, to make room for silence and listening, far away from the distractions of daily life.
Like Martha, you may become absorbed in your worries. But the Lord calls you to be like Mary, attentive to His presence (Luke 10:38–42). Ask Him to teach you to discern what truly matters.
Before beginning any activity, open your heart to the needs of those who suffer, especially people with mental health challenges. May you be an attentive and compassionate presence for them.

Caring for others as we care for ourselves
At the start of this day, I acknowledge your grace, Lord, which lifts me up and sustains me. You invite me to enter into the light of your Word, which teaches me the way of true love for my neighbor (Lk 10:25–37).
“Which of these three do you think was a neighbor to the man who fell into the hands of robbers?” You show me that true closeness springs from a heart capable of compassion. Open my eyes to see those who suffer, and open my heart so that I do not look away. Deliver me from all indifference.
In this month of prayer dedicated to mental health, make me attentive and available. Grant me the grace to bring comfort and support to my brothers and sisters who are going through trials.
I offer this day to you with confidence.

Touched by the Spirit
This year, the parish of St Dominic Savio (Wadala East) has 43 youngsters preparing to receive Confirmation. That's an unusually big number for us. Ordinarily we would have conducted their pre-Confirmation Retreat.

Building Peace
On this new day, I give thanks and open my heart to your Word: “The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone” (Mt 21:42). Where humanity rejects, you raise up and give meaning. With Saint Francis, I want to become an instrument of your peace.
Teach me, Lord, to welcome without excluding, to look without judging, to love unconditionally. Free me from the indifference and fear that closes my heart to the suffering of others.
I offer this day to You: make Your Church a place of peace, welcome, and healing, especially for those whose mental health is affected, whose spirit is being tested, and whose heart is wounded.
I pray the morning offering.
