In FY 2024–25, IPRS distributed ₹608.8 crore in royalties and its membership crossed 17,000 creators. As of the date of this reel, ISAMRA has 2,033 registered members, while many singers and musicians whose performances are already logged are yet to become members.

Most artists ask their lawyer what publishing is.
This carousel exists so you already know before you pick up the phone.
Publishing is the money your composition earns every time it is streamed, broadcast, licensed, or performed, anywhere in the world. It has nothing to do with the recording. It is the song underneath the recording. The melody. The words. The idea.
In India, composers and lyricists register with IPRS to collect this income. They built the system that now protects you.
The 2012 Amendment also created one right you cannot sign away, even if you assign your publishing to a label, you retain an inalienable entitlement to royalties when your composition is used in films or broadcast on radio and television. Any contract clause that removes this is void in law.
