At Meesho, Pratik Kumar, Head of Engineering, Meesho, explains how the company’s proprietary GeoIndia LLM, trained on 67+ million Indian addresses and millions of delivery traces, is decoding landmark-led, multilingual and incomplete addresses across Bharat.

Built with a Seq2Seq architecture and hierarchical H3 geospatial indexing, GeoIndia has improved geocoding accuracy by 20 percentage points, cut misroute-related costs by 5%, and, together with Meesho’s Network Intelligence System, reduced last-mile misroutes by more than 50%.

The feature explores how GeoIndia works with NIS and TrustMesh to improve routing, risk prediction and delivery outcomes, while contributing to lower cancellations and RTOs. In Q1FY27, Meesho’s contribution margin expanded to 4.6% of NMV, while Revenue from Operations grew 48% YoY to ₹3,707 crore.

India’s gold loan market has changed dramatically, with the outstanding gold loan book growing 3.8X since March 2022 to nearly ₹19 lakh crore. But as lending scales, the bigger challenge is no longer just valuing the gold. It is building systems that can consistently manage the rules, processes and risks behind every loan.

In his latest blog, Prasad Patil, CTO & Chief- Business Ops, Mobicule Technologies, examines the impact of Reserve Bank of India (RBI)’s new Lending Against Gold and Silver Collateral Directions, effective 1 April 2026, and why tiered LTV requirements, automated valuation, return timelines, auction workflows and audit trails need to become system-driven rather than dependent on manual checks.

With 74% of new gold loan borrowers already carrying more than ₹1 lakh in other debt, the need for stronger, connected lending infrastructure becomes even more critical.

Read the full story to understand why the real test of RBI’s gold loan reset may not be at the branch counter, but in the back office-https://www.financialexpressb2b.com/futech/blogs/rbi-rewrote-the-rules-for-gold-loans-the-real-test-starts-in-the-back-office-12574667

India’s GCCs are shifting from talent scale to talent density, but Prof. Somdutta Banerjee, Head of Entrepreneurship, School of Business & Head of Trade Tower (Incubation Center), Woxsen University, points to a deeper test: Who owns the roadmap, who drives the idea, and who has the authority to make the call?

From patents with Indian inventors and globally shipped features originating in India to specialised teams that become the best in the organisation at a hard problem, she outlines the markers of real talent density. She also highlights the need for P&L ownership, budget authority and entrepreneurial talent if Indian GCCs are to move from ex*****on hubs to strategic decision-making centres.

India’s GCCs are no longer being defined by how many people they employ, but by what they own. Patents, products, strategic decisions and P&L responsibility are becoming the markers of how far these centres have moved up the value chain.

That shift is visible across the ecosystem. Vijay Vemulapalli, MD & GM, ADP India, sees centers evolving into integrated capability hubs across product, AI and engineering. Jaspreet Bakshi, Partner & HR Leader, Marsh India, points to the movement of teams into front-to-back and strategic roles, while Maya Nair, Executive Director, Grafton Recruitment, highlights India-based leaders taking calls on product direction, architecture and technology investments.

Yet with only 8–11% of top-performing hubs fully owning end-to-end product development, the transition is far from complete.
